A WALL ST. GUYHe gave up a career on Wall Street
to follow his roots backto the boot.
THE ROMAN GUYHis passion for storytelling earned
him a nickname amongstvisitors to Rome: “The Roman Guy”
AWAKE FOR MONTHSAdopting the nickname, he worked
through the night, consuming severalhundred espressi to start building his brand.
ONE FATEFUL NIGHTHe met another who possessed the
“Roman Guy” spirit at a friend’swedding in Transylvania. They
began chatting about Italy.
SAVING ROMEAfter the wedding, the two returned to
Italy, teamed up and officiallystarted a specialized tour operator:
IDEAS! IDEAS!They knew there was something big missing from Italy tourism - a way to see the sights without all the crowds!They made it their mission to fix this.

SEAN P. FINELLI - CEOCo-Owner & The Ideas Man
Sean walked away from a career on Wall Street and swapped the world of Finance for a life in Italy. With a history book in hand, it wasn’t long before Sean knew every historical site and cobbled street in Rome. He then used his knowledge and obsession to start guiding groups around the city. Without searching for success, Sean became known as “The Roman Guy”, a title he then used to build one of the leading travel companies in Italy. Today, Sean operates from The Roman Guy’s US headquarters in Philadelphia. Yet, he and his team in the States still wake up each day with Italy on their minds. Sean has made hiring decisions based on the candidate’s obsession with Italy, over their experience. As well as being co-owner, Sean writes for Forbes, speaks at numerous Universities and Trade Shows, and has earned a place in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 360 List.
Brandon lives in Rome, Italy. He is a father, entrepreneur, licensed tour guide and a complete history geek. Brandon has always had a serious case of the “I gotta see that!” syndrome. After living in Russia, France, Italy, Holland and USA, he decided to make his home in the capital of the world, the Eternal City of Rome. A linguist with the ability to speak 6 languages, and with 15 years of experience traveling through Italy, Brandon naturally became the brains that created The Roman Guy’s custom Trip Planning service.As well as keeping everything under control in The Roman Guy’s Italian headquarters in Rome, Brandon regularly travels back to the States to speak on stage at events such as the New York Times Travel Show & Boston Globe Travel Show. He is currently studying to become a sommelier!

We used The Roman Guy to plan our whole trip in Italy. We were there for three weeks and saw 5 cities, Florence, Sorrento, Rome, Milan and Bellagio. They planned everything - tours, restaurants, transportation between cities and from train stations to lodging. They were available for questions any time we needed throughout our trip. I can not say enough positive things about this team! They were top notch from the first contact with Filippo to discuss ideas until we ended our trip in May. Their tours were wonderful with very knowledgeable and fun guides. Our favorites were the Limoncello Farm Tour in Sorrento, The Chianti wine tour out of Florence, Early Entrance to the Vatican and The Food tours in Rome and Florence. Thanks for the giving us a vacation of a lifetime that was relaxing....and stress free! I would highly recommend The Roman Guy for trip planning and any of their tours. We will definitely use them again when we return to Italy!

“Excellent guided tour Underground Colosseum and Palatine Hill and Roman Forum”Fabulous tour of the Underground Colosseum and we were lucky enough to have an archaeologist as our guide. Eleanora was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we learned a lot. Aside from the Colosseum experience we then toured Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. This 3 and a half hour tour included a lot of walking, so it was good exercise for us. I wonder if 2 separate shorter tours might be considered as an option for travelers who can’t manage almost 4 hours. Highly recommend.
