This service is provided by the OSU viticulture program. The purpose of this site is to assist grape growers and wineries in selling and/or buying grapes, wine, juice or equipment and post JOBS Wanted or JOBS for Hire. The listing will be posted to the “Buckeye Appellation” website (https://ohiograpeweb.cfaes.ohio-state.edu/) and updates will be sent to all OGEN subscribers via email. Ads will be deleted after 4 months. If you would like items to continue or placed back on the exchange, please let me know.

For sale: Proptect 8 head vineyard sprayer and Vineyard Canopy Equipment Package February 6, 2019 Proptect 8 vineyard sprayer has recently had all hoses replaced and was stripped down to raw metal and repainted. Asking $15,000 (Photos 1-5 below). Vineyard canopy equipment package includes one Binger Seilzug leaf puller unit (roller type), one Ero Binder (shoot positioning; comes with multiple boxes of staples), and one 3-directional Mast that attaches to both. The Mast is 3-directional moving up/down, in/out, and will change the pitch (useful on slopes and hills). Great saving in time and labor during a busy time of the year. Equipment is in excellent condition and has been serviced professionally. Have purchased new equipment and no longer need these units. We would like to sell as an entire package as we only have one mast that is needed for both the leaf puller and shoot positioning. The leaf puller can be operated at about one acre per hour (one operator) and the shoot positioning is about two hours per acre with one operator and one assistant on a four-wheeler or RTV in the opposing row. Assistant Event and Marketing Staffer March 26, 2019 Overview

The assistant planner/marketing position is a part time, hourly position. The Person will report to the Special Projects Manager and coordinate with the Executive Director depending on the projects assigned.

Special Events

Assist in the coordination of winery participation in OWPA sponsored events, including, but not limited to: Vintage Ohio, Wine weekends, Smaller wine festivals, wine dinners, License to Steal and coordination of activities with other non profit and for profit organizations as approved by the board

Coordinate volunteers for events including Vintage. Advise Executive Director and Special Projects Manager on the development of events. Work with the staff to promote the wine trails events. Follow-up after each the event.

Marketing responsibilities Will assist in the maintenance and promotion of the Association Facebook and and Instagram sites

General Office Duties

Answer phones when necessary and route messages to appropriate personnel. Assist in preparing materials for various activities Greet office visitors. Keep updated and accurate files on all projects. Keep work area organized and orderly. Attend regularly scheduled office meetings. Lift one case of wine (up to 30 pounds). Travel to necessary trade shows. Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director

• Knowledge of safe cellar practices, including safe handling of chemicals, racking, cleaning, sanitizing and sterilizing winery equipment and facilities;

• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures; • Read and understand work orders; • Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks and work directly with other workers; • Must be able to work as required during harvest and bottling; • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time; • Must have reliable transportation, be punctual and maintain and excellent attendance and safety record; • perform all other duties as assigned.

Compensation

• Compensation will depend upon experience; • Medical, paid holidays & vacation available after 90 days; • This is a non-exempt hourly position.
