Springtime in Holland 9th—18th April 2019
Amsterdam, Delft and Keukenhof Gardens
www.GBMotorhomeTours.com
A wonderful opportunity to enjoy a Spring Break in the Netherlands on a tour mixing the colours of
this time of year with visits to its major attractions.
Amsterdam, capital and cultural centre of
Holland, is a must on any tour of the
Netherlands. We have organised a two-day travel card to the city, including a cruise on its extensive
network of canals, and plenty of free time for you to wander the streets, shop, or visit some of the
many museums on offer
We have arranged a tour of Delft Pottery so you can see first-hand where the very early ‘Delft
Blue’ was produced from 1653. Later we visit Delfts historic centre, where the rows of gabled
houses, almshouses and the Prinsenhof (former residence of the Princes of Orange) symbolises
much of Holland’s history.
At this time of year, it’s also Bollenstreek Flower
Parade, a carnival of floats richly decorated in spring flowers projecting a unique colour and
perfume as each vehicle passes. Supported by bands of local musicians this one-off event comes
alive and we have arranged viewing for all on the tour.
Finally, we will be visiting the world famous
Keukenhof gardens, the largest Spring garden in the world; 7 million flower bulbs of daffodils,
hyacinths and tulips in bloom. There are also
seven special show gardens to marvel at, each reflecting the latest trends in horticulture. Time
at Keukenhof will be free for you to wander over the 79 acre site at your own pace, to delight at
the colour and pick up inspiration for your own garden.
Please note that no pets are allowed on this
tour due to restrictions at the campsite

An Atlantic Coast Adventure
An Atlantic Coast Adventure
13th June to 4th July 2019
Join us on this 21-day tour, the itinerary of which has been carefully planned to indulge guests. You will be introduced to some of the most beautiful areas of France’s Atlantic Coast whilst enjoying a balanced mix of organised excursions, free time and social events of lunches, dinners and get-togethers.
Our Atlantic Adventure begins in the charming
seaside town of Benodet in Southern Brittany. Situated at the mouth of the Odet, one of the most
beautiful rivers in France, the town is famed for its beautiful beaches and cuisine and the nearby îles de Glénan, an archipelago of islands located approximately 10 miles off the coast.
Leaving Benodet we head south along the coast to the city of Nantes. Located on the Loire River, Nantes has a long history as a port and there is
time for you to visit many of its attractions. From Nantes, we continue our journey south to the
famous and unique ‘Puy du Fou’ entertainment park – prepare to be amazed at what is on offer here. Continuing along the coast our next destination is to the beautiful Île de Ré, famous for its pine forest, dunes and pretty harbour villages.
As well as its many attractions the island offers fantastic cycling and walking opportunities.
Our next visit is to the Côte Sauvage, l’île d’Oléron and Marennes Basin regions. The whole area being famous for both its Oysters and the regional French aperitif Pineau des Charentes why not try some. For the final destination of our adventure we arrive in the Bay of Arcachon. ‘Le Bassin’ as it is affectionately known locally, covers an area of 150
km² and is a place of extraordinary beauty renowned for its seafood and wildlife and the Dune
du Pyla - at 500m wide, 3km long and 107m high is the tallest sand dune in Europe, offering amazing
views across the whole of the Bay of Arcachon.

Located halfway between Africa and Europe, Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean and fiercely proud of its unique identity, although Italian the island is very different to the rest of Italy. The Island was once a natural pit stop for Empires on their journey through the Mediterranean Sea. The Phoenicians, Vandals and Byzantines have all left their mark, with the town of Alghero being colonised by the Spanish Catalans for hundreds of years. Another thing that really sets Sardinia apart is its white sands and turquoise waters, the Caribbean like beaches are some of the best looking in Europe. We travel around the whole island at a leisurely pace so that you have time to visit the historic landmarks that abound on the island, included is a well-planned excursion programme which along with an above average number of group meals ensures your tour is relaxed, well informed and you eat well throughout.
Campsites in Sardinia tend to be rustic, matching the local feel, with basic clean amenities. Pitches are generally not defined and at times whilst hook-ups are available amperage can be limited. Please Note: At the time of publication, the Italian Ferry Companies are yet to finalise their 2019 timetables and therefore the tour dates may alter by a day or two in either direction due to ferry scheduling.
