If you’re planning to come out to watch the races, there are a few things to know that can help make the day a good experience.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND PARKINGThe Women’s Half Marathon and other city events include road closures and delays that could affect your route to our parking lots on IUPUI’s campus. These few tips can help ease your arrival.

Parking is available in IUPUI Lot 63 and 59, located on the north side of New York Street between Barnhill Dr. and Lansing St. Additional parking is available in the White River State Park underground garage on Washington St.

Please see the attached maps for recommended driving directions.

WHERE TO WATCH AND WHAT TO BRINGWhile our racing teams will have tents set up and marshal from the east side of the river, the best place to watch the races is from the west side. You will have a clear view and a grassy bank to sit on. Bring a blanket, as the slope is probably too steep for most lawn chairs. Races will start every 10 minutes starting at 9:20am. We also recommend bringing sun screen and water.

A portion of the New York Street bridge will be closed to allow for viewing and easy passage across the river.

FOOD AND BEVERAGEWe have several vendors coming out on race day, including Greiners Subs + Mac Genie, Squeals on Wheels, and Upland Brewery.
