EDUCATION – NOW YOU KNOW
KENTUCKY TALKING
LIBRARY

May 15 | 10:30 a.m.
The Kentucky Talking Book
Library (KTBL) provides free
library service to people who
cannot read traditional print
because they have a visual,
physical, or reading
disability.Learn how to start
receiving these services in your
home.
LET’S DO THAT

MAY 1 | 2 p.m.

Most of us would prefer to stay
living in the comfort of our own
home for as long as possible. As
we start to age, sometimes we
need a little extra assistance
around the house this doesn’t
mean you can’t live
independently anymore! There
are resources available for you.

Learn about ways to stay
independent in your home and
how to find an agency or service
to help you!

VOLUNTEER WITH
GOD’S PANTRY

May 14 | 2 p.m.

God’s Pantry Food Bank works in
50 counties in Kentucky to
distribute food to those in
need. We believe that every
person in our community
possesses skills that can be used
to increase access to food for the
more than 250,000 people in
danger of hunger in our area.In
the words of Theodore Roosevelt,
“Do what you can, with what you
have, where you are.” Our newest
program empowers volunteers
with the knowledge and
equipment to safely transport
donated food from restaurants
directly to the facilities that most
impact our communities. Join us
to learn more about this and other
ways that you can help the food
bank win the fight against hunger.

**FOOD FOR THOUGHT**
This month I am encouraging you with food for thought towards your emotional
wellbeing. Did you know that everyone of us has an individual aura?
Your aura is your individual magnetic energy field. While you may not see this with
your natural eye, it still exists and interacts with the aura of others. Science has
proven that our thoughts, intentions, feelings and emotions directly effect and
correlate to our physical and material world. The interaction between our brain and
heart exists in a way that affects how we perceive our world. Scientists have
measured the difference between what we radiate magnetically based on whether
our thoughts are positive or negative. When we think positively with gratitude, love
and appreciation, it is not only measurable, but perceived by others, as well.
How does this impact your health?Scientist have found that negative thoughts
create an unhealthy nervous system in your body. POSITIVE emotions boosts your
IMMUNITY!! My challenge for you is to set your intentions towards yourself and
others in a positive way everyday. You are helping yourself and others to be
healthier in every way, physically, mentally and emotionally. ~ Emily
