Orders ViewAll open orders will be displayed in the main view of the tablet. Orders that are being prepared will show up in the “Preparing” section, and orders where prep time has elapsed will go into the “Picking Up” section.

High Volume Orders ViewA high number of concurrent orders can be shown in one view.

New Order TagsOrders will now be tagged based on certain attributes of the order.
Customer Pickup tag means that a customer will pick up the order directly from the store.
Item Warning indicates that there is either a special instruction to pay attention to, or the order contains an item(s) that is commonly missing.

New Orders and Preparing Orders SectionNew Orders and Orders being Prepared are shown on the left column of the main Orders View.
New orders will flash and will display how long the order has gone unconfirmed.

New Delivery Orders vs. Pickup OrdersUnconfirmed delivery orders will flash green and unconfirmed pickup orders will flash blue, along with a Customer Pickup tag.
Postmate ArrivingOrders where the Postmate is arriving soon are highlighted with a flashing green animation.
Orders that are ready for pickup will show up in the “Picking Up” section.

Postmate Arriving for Multiple OrdersMultiple orders that are being picked up by the same Postmate will also be grouped together in the “Picking Up” section.
Tap into each order to see the details of each individual order.

On Hold OrdersOrders that are waiting for customers to respond will now be in the “Orders On Hold” section in the navigation bar. These orders should not be prepared until there is a response from the customer.
Tapping on it will bring up a preview of the orders that are currently on hold.

Managing Default Prep Time & Order PausingAdjust your default prep time right from the main Orders View. The current default prep time will be reflected after you adjust it.
Temporarily pausing new orders will also be available from this view.

Resuming OrdersExplicit countdown of when orders will be resumed can be seen when tapping on “New Orders Paused”.

Drinks MerchantsFor merchants that do not have a default prep time, like Drinks merchants, it will say “Accepting Orders” at the top. You can tap into it to pause new orders.

New Order NotificationThis new notification will be shown any time you get a new order.

Canceled Order NotificationIf an order has been cancelled, this notification will be displayed on your tablet. It will specify which order has been canceled.

Unread NotificationNew notifications will be indicated with a badge on the bell icon.

Notification TrayTapping on the notification icon will open up a tray that shows notifications, both unread and read.
Unread notifications, like cancelled notifications, will have a red dot indicating that it hasn’t been viewed. Tapping on the notification change it from being unread to read.

Persistent NotificationsThere are mini notifications that may persist at the top of the screen if you are already interacting with the app.

POS Sync Error NotificationIf you are on a dual Tablet & POS integration, you will also receive notifications when orders fail to get pushed to the Point of Sale system.

New OrderAfter tapping on a new order notification, the order details will be shown. Tap on “Confirm Order” to accept the job and stop the chiming.
You can also adjust the prep time for the order by tapping on the “+” and “-“ buttons where the prep time is displayed.

Item FlaggingCommonly Missing Items and Special Instructions will be highlighted in the order details, just like in the Orders View.

Order being PreparedWhen an order is in the “preparing” state, there will be an indication of how much time is left, and the ability to report an issue with the order.

More Actions when Printer is ConnectedIf the tablet is connected to a printer, tap on the “…” button to view more actions. You can reporting the ticket or raise an issue with the order.

Item Availability & Price ChangesTapping on the item will allow you to select from three options - “Unavailable Today”, “Unavailable Indefinitely”, and “Adjust Price”.
Marking the item as unavailable temporarily or permanently will change the availability on your Postmates storefront.
Updating the price will affect all future orders.

Issue with Special InstructionsTapping on the customer’s special instructions will allow you to indicate that you can’t fulfill the special request, or that you need to add a charge to the special request.
