Terry Barrett Most of our church family will know that one of our members Terry sadly passed away on 4th April. Terry was a real gent. Always immaculately dressed and many

of us will remember his faithfulness in do-ing his turn on the coffee Rota with Jill.

Terry had faith in the Lord Jesus and even in the midst of our sadness, today of all days, Easter Sunday, we can rejoice that

he will be safe in the care of our Lord.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have a place in eternity with the Lord. Terry has taken his place. Let us pray for

the family and Jill a long-time family friend that they may know the presence of the Risen Lord with them at this time. A committal service will be at Parkwood

Crematorium on Friday 24th April.

Because of the present pandemic there can be no mourners present. There will be, all being well an opportunity to re-

member and give thanks for Terry’s life in church once we can all be together again.

Daily reflection and readings Every Morning, Revd Angela has been giving a daily reflection, which she has posted onto the WhatsApp Church prayer and support group. Thanks to Adam Lamb, he has been able to convert the daily readings so that you can listen to them via the iKnow church app. Unfortu-atley there is no way to provide this via the actual iknow church website. Adam has been able to create a secure account via itunes and android music, I will send details out on how to find them. If any-one is still unable to listen to them, please do let me know. Alternatively, if

you use WhatsApp and would like to be added to the group, again please do let me know. Thanks Peter

EasterPilgrim: The Lord's Prayer

A 40-day journey through the prayer Jesus taught his followers - one which continues to shape the lives of Christians across the world.

Each day provides you with a short Bible reflection, an invitation to pray and a suggestion for responding to the vision of the Lord's Prayer itself.

We are inviting the whole Church to take 40 days this Easter season to explore this prayer in still deeper ways. Take time each day to be still, to offer to God the pain and suffering around us and within us, to reflect on each line of the prayer and to pray with others across the world the words our risen Lord has taught us.

This will be an Easter season like no other as the world endures the coronavirus pandemic. Each day we will pray the familiar words: Our Father, give us this day our daily bread, forgive us, deliver us from evil. We will pray them with a new and ever deeper understanding. Archbishop Justin Welby Archbishop John Sentamu

Take some time to reflect

The scriptures today pull us out of narrow human viewpoints and compel or call on us to see the boundary-breaking presence of the living God. The stone that humans would discard is the one God considers most crucial. Death and life are deeply intertwined; resurrection is with us each day if we can learn to see it. Have you experienced a God moment/encounter? Where might we see resurrection instead of death, or joy instead of grief? Prayer: God of grace, open our eyes to see you. Open our hearts to let our vision change our lives. Amen
