Certifications - STNA license, CPR and BLSClasses held at Pioneer, Bucyrus, Mansfield Memorial Homes and WillardWould you like to provide nurse-related services to patients or residents in a long-term care or acute care facility?
• 80 hour STNA course will train you for a NA (Nurse Aide) position with the opportunity to take the STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) test
• 7 hour class for Heartsaver First Aid & Healthcare Provider CPR/AED (BLS)• Includes 16 hours of clinical experience
During classroom instruction, you will learn:• Communications and interpersonal skills• Infection control• Safety and emergency procedures• Basic nursing and personal care skills• Mental health and social service needs• Basic restorative services• Residents’ Rights
Program Requirements:• Physical exam less than 1 year*• Two-Step Mantoux TB test that is current

STNA “Train the Trainer Certification” Classes“Train-The-Trainer Certification” Classes will prepare qualified nurses to teach Nurse Aide Training in Ohio. This course is designed to provide students with information on the proper technique to collect a quality lab specimen. Also, it provides a complete coverage of the most common CLIA waived tests in the ambulatory setting. The student will learn fundamental concepts of the basic knowledge related to the appropriate test and procedures. Students will receive hands-on experience with a required 80-hour externship. This program provides rigorous and relevant technical knowledge and skills that prepare students for a career as a CCMA or further education in the Health Science field. This program provides technical skill instruction that leads to proficiency and demonstrable competency in occupation specific skills. The program focuses on professionalism, safety, employability skills, and reasoning skills. Content of course includes but is not limited to professional communication in healthcare, interpersonal skills, ethical and legal considerations and responsibilities, administrative and clinical duties, CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography, and phlebotomy. Students will receive hands-on experience with a required 40-hour externship. Classes held at Pioneer.

»»»»Career Enhancement Classes» Electrical Apprenticeship Program
(NCCER), $1750Certifications - Certificate from National Center for Construction Education & Research Pioneer partners with ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.) Central Ohio Chapter to offer a nationally credited electrical apprenticeship program. The curriculum is through National Center for Construction & Research (NCCER). Students will complete 144 hours of classroom instruction and 2000 hours of OJT (on the job training) per year. The program is a four level program which students will complete level 1 their first year, level 2 their second year, level 3 their third year and level 4 their fourth year.
Student’s achievements will be recorded in the national registry by ABC. Upon completion of both classroom hours and OJT hours, students will receive an Electrical Journeyperson Certification. Classes are scheduled September 2020 through May 2021 from 5:00-9:00pm.

The Adult Diploma Program was specifically designed for the 1.1 million Ohioans age 22 or older who have not yet earned their high school diploma or GED. In this program, students can earn their high school diploma along with an industry recognized certification/credential for an in-demand job within a few months — all at NO COST.
