GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Medium of instruction is English Registration/enrolment will be closed 15 days prior to the
commencement of the particular course. Each course will be conducted subject to a minimum number of 10
participants. In view of this prospective participants are advised to contact the Head, Skill Development Group (S&T) or the concerned Technical coordinator of the opted programme.
Fees once paid will not be refunded (except in case of cancellation of the training by CECRI) under any circumstances.
The special tailor-made training programme to suit the needs of the industries are also conducted

COURSE FEE
Fee per participant is Rs. 11,800.00 (Rupees Eleven thousand Eight hundred only) per course [Course fee Rs. 10,000 + GST 18% Rs. 1800.00].
The registration fee for overseas participant is USD 1000. The training fee includes course material, course certificate and if situation permits two days hands on practical exposure will be provided on site between January and February 2021 or anytime before end of current financial year The above courses are conducted only through Live Webinar (Online)

evaporation, electron beam evaporation, sputtering techniques, diode sputtering,
radio frequency sputtering, magnetron sputtering, ion plating, pulsed laser
deposition nitriding, boriding, chemical vapour deposition (CVD), electro
deposition, brush plating, sol-gel synthesis, spin coating, surface analysis by X- ray
diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM),atomic force microscopy
(AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy
(TEM), laser Raman spectroscopy, potentio-dynamic studies, electrochemical
impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
Practical : Demonstration of Thermal and Electron Beam Evaporation,
DC/RF/Pulsed/Ion Assisted Magnetron Sputtering, Pulsed Laser Deposition,

Theory: Fundamentals of Electrochemical Cells, Electrochemical power
sources, Batteries (Primary & secondary batteries), Raw materials for the
manufacture of Lead acid batteries, Lead alloys, Separators and electrolyte.
Unit operations in lead acid batteries, grid casting, mixing, pasting and curing.
Formation and assembly. Testing of batteries, battery charging method Factors
affecting the battery performance. Dry charged batteries, VRLA battery, principle,
merits and demerits. Failure mode of lead acid batteries, defect, causes and
remedy. Different charging methods. Light weight lead acid battery.
Practical: Density determination of lead oxide/wet paste separator impact test/
vibration and load test formation procedure current calculation, finished capacity
test at 20h rate & 3 C HRD, battery determination.

Objective: The course is framed to offer exposure in various analytical techniques
like spectroscopic techniques, resonance techniques, surface analytical
techniques, X- ray techniques, chromatographic technique and thermal analysis
for characterizing material.
This course is mainly for R&D personnel, engineers and technicians working in
quality control laboratories, post-graduation in physics and chemistry that are on
the look-out for such training in analytical techniques to improve their
employment opportunities.
Theory: Concepts of analysis, basic principles, theory, instrumentation and
application for all the analytical techniques mentioned in the objective will be
discussed.
Practical: Live demonstration and theoretical explanations of the above
