share her unique finishing details in her quilts, which have been proven winners in shows across the

country. Students will focus on skill mastery using Bethanne’s original beaded piping in classic piping,

on the knife edges of quilts, and as tiny appliqué stems. Rather than complete a finished project,

students will make 4” mini samples and receive a pattern to make a mini wallhanging. The class kit

Sketchbook Quilting is Sarah's approachable, uninhibited, "no-rules" style of free-motion quilting. In

this fun hands-on class, you will become more comfortable with drawing your own style of free-

motion designs and seeing them come to life on the fabric. You'll turn these designs into multiple

groupings and combinations by building off the foundation pieces Sarah will teach. In doing so, you'll

be ready to create your own set of personal "go-to" designs and practice fillers while also developing

the muscle memory for quilting. Sarah will also show you how to use a variety of rulers and stencils

to help create basic shape and line guides for doodle quilting. This class will teach and encourage you

to quilt without rules, thus making each finished quilt unique to your personal style and abilities. The

your raven as you work. You’ll learn techniques for piecing, fabric selection, and design as you play

with piecing and create something you’re proud of.

blend with the fabric for the raven. The ball of yarn will be worked on toward the end of class; Karla

suggests bringing approximately 20+ bright colors cut into 1" x 20" strips.
