Event Summary
MRO Australasia is a two-day conference gathering the MRO community to learn about the crucial issues that impact the MRO business in this region. The agenda covered maintenance, repair and overhaul for all fi xed wing aircraft; commercial, business, general and regional aviation and rotorcraft.
The Queensland Government were the host sponsor for the inaugural MRO Australasia, which took place on 11-12 March 2020 at the Sofi tel Central Brisbane, Australia, gathering 288 attendees from a mix of airlines, MROs, OEMs, lessors and suppliers.
The event concluded with a guide tour around the Qantas Engineering Facility located at Brisbane Airport.

Showcase Exhibition
The showcase exhibition featured 33 international companies, displaying the latest products, services and technologies for the aviation aftermarket.
Situated directly outside the conference room, delegates were able to network during the breakout sessions, foster new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and expand their reach across the community.

Facility Tour
Exclusively available to MRO Australasia attendees, Qantas hosted a tour of their Engineering Base Maintenance facilities located at Brisbane Airport.
Taking place at the conclusion of the conference on March 12, registered attendees for the tour were transported to the facility. The guided tour included a visit to six bays of both Narrowbody and Widebody maintenance totaling over 40,000 square meters of maintenance capacity, including visits to Supply Chain, Hangars 2 and 3 and associated workshops.
Meet the Buyers
The 1 hour speed networking sessions between airline buyers and suppliers took place on 11 March between 4:20 – 5:20pm. Suppliers were able to choose from a list of 16 airlines, with two 10-minute meeting slots given to each company.
