We invite you to join us in beautiful Douglas, WY for our annual Championship Show
and Preshow. Douglas, WY is located along the banks of the scenic North Platte River
and was known in the Lakota tongue as the “White Sagebrush City”. The show will be
held at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds, which is central to Wyoming horse and
cowboy culture. We hope to see you in Wyoming!

Post Entries Entries must be postmarked or e-mailed on or before June 5. Entries post-marked or received after June 5 will be assessed a $100 post entry fee. *Please note that classes can be added after the entry closing date at no extra charge. Credit Cards Credit cards will be accepted for payment at the show (swipe only). Credit card payments will incur a 3% credit card processing fee. first-served basis. Fees must be paid at the time of request. Please request your class and time slot preference with your entries. Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes points cannot be earned from any class on the TBA list. Splits and divisions may be granted at the discretion of the show office. Any class
on the AHA class code list may be chosen as a TBA class.

TBA CLASSES There are a limited number of To Be Announced (TBA) class spots for the preshow and
regional championship shows. These classes will be filled and time slots will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees must be paid at the time of request. Please request your
class and time slot preference with your entries. Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes points cannot be earned from any class on the TBA list. Splits and divisions may be granted at the discretion of
the show office. Any class on the AHA class code list may be chosen as a TBA class. .
FREESTYLE Liberty class
Entry Fee: $25
Horses will be judged in five categories: 1) Arabian type 2) Animation and
charisma 3) Movement 4) Use of arena 5) Crowd participation
Each entry will be given a two minute time limit to perform.
Horses may perform tricks within the two minute time limit to contribute
to their performance score.
Each entry will provide music for their performance. If no music is
provided, show management reserves the right to select the music.

Safe Sport Training Requirements
1. Safesport Code of Conduct. *As described by the USEF
Safe Sport policy, a federation participant is any USEF
member of non-member, who participates in, or attends a
USEF-licensed competition or sanctioned event.
2. In order to comply with S. 534, the protecting young
victim’s from sexual abuse and Safe Sport Authorization
Act of 2017, the USEF Safe Sport policy, and the center’s
Safe Sport Code of Conduct, every USEF adult member and
USEF participant, with the exception of the victim, is
required to report suspected sexual misconduct within 24
hours to the appropriate authorities and to the U. S. Center
for Safesport.
3. Beginning January 1, 2019, every USEF adult member
with a competing membership must complete USEF’s Safe
Sport training, as approved by the U. S. Center for
Safesport (The Center).

8. CLOSING OF ENTRIES: Entries close on June 5, 2020. Post entries will be accepted. Late entry fee of
$100 per entry will be charged for any entry postmarked after June 5. E-mailed or online entries received
after June 5, 2020 will be assessed a late fee. Any horse/rider added after the entry close date will be
considered a late entry. Regional post entries will be accepted until two hours after the end of the preshow.
Post-entries will NOT be accepted for Dressage classes. Classes can be added to the preshow until one hour
RULES AND REGULATIONS Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF/AHA rule
books will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Any changes in the USEF/AHA rules will
automatically become a part of this prize list. The Show committee reserves the right to make such changes in
procedure, personnel, rules and regulations as shall be deemed by them to be in the best interest of the show. All
exhibitors are assumed to have knowledge of and understand the USEF/AHA rule books.
1. ADMISSION TO THE SHOW ARENA: No person will be permitted to enter the arena except participants
in the class, judges and their assistants, and the show photographer. Attendants will not be allowed in the arena
until summoned by order of the judge.
2. ARABIAN BREEDERS SWEEPSTAKES: Any exhibitor may enter and compete in Arabian Breeders
Sweepstake point classes. All entries will be counted for points. Points will count only for exhibitors enrolled in
the Sweepstakes Point Program. The enrollment fee of $100 must be paid to AHA prior to the first day of the
show. The show cannot process enrollment. Only classes identified by “$” are ABS classes. A class added from
the TBA list cannot be ABS eligible.
3. ARENAS: The Arena will be open Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 8 a.m. Thereafter the arena will be available for
practice as posted or announced. The footing in all arenas consists of a mixture of clay and sand. The show
arena is approximately 100 feet X 170 feet. The warm up arena nearby the show arena is approximately 150 feet
X 330 feet. The Yellow Arena, designated for dressage and working hunter, is approximately 125 feet X 255
feet.
4. BEDDING: No bedding will be provided with stalls. Shavings are $8.25 per bag. Hours available will be
posted and announced. No straw bedding will be allowed.
5. BIKES: Bikes are not permitted in the Pepsi Center or near the warm up arenas.
6. BREEDING/IN HAND REGIONAL PLACINGS: COMP 608.5 now reads; “When adjudicating all
Breeding/Gelding In-Hand classes, judges will use the Arabian Scoring System, however, the final placings for
champion, reserve champion and top five will be determined by the Majority Opinion System (MOS). The
Scorecards will be turned into placings and in turn run through the Majority Opinion System (MOS) to
determine the final outcome of the Championship class.”
7. CALL FOR CLASSES: Two minutes will be allowed after the first horse enters the ring. If tack changes are
necessary, it is the exhibitor’s responsibility to notify the gate person for a three-minute hold. Calls for classes
are considered a courtesy. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be certain his horse is at the gate at the
prescribed time. Should a horse not make the gate, no refunds will be made. Gate holds will be allowed only for
back-to-back classes. Exhibitors are cautioned against entering the same horse in successive classes. No refund
will be given for class conflicts. Plan your class scheduling very carefully.

9. CRUELTY OR ABUSE: Cruelty to or the abuse of a horse by any person at a recognized show is
forbidden and penalty for same will be enforced to the full extent the rules will allow.

11. DISCIPLINE: Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the
part of the owner, groom, rider, driver or member of the family of the person participating in this show will
disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove a groom, horse, rider, or
driver from the show without being liable for compensation or damages.
12. DOGS: All dogs must be confined to a leash at all times. Animal control will be called if a dog is found to
be off leash and owner of dog will be fined.
13. DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS: The USEF Drugs and Medications Rule will be enforced principally by
saliva and urine tests taken by a veterinarian and skilled technicians who are agents of the USEF who must be
treated with courtesy and respect. “Caution: refusal to submit a horse for examination whether in competition
or not, and to cooperate with the veterinarian and technicians until the urine and saliva samples have been
taken constitutes a violation and subjects the responsible person to the penalties under this rule.” All horses
(halter horses included) will be charged $23.00 per horse ($15 drugs & medications +$8 USEF fee) to defray
the expenses of testing.
14. EARLY ARRIVAL/LATE DEPARTURE: Indoor stalls are available beginning Sunday, June 21, 2020
at 10am. Exhibitors wishing to arrive prior to Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 10 am will need to make
arrangements through the Wyoming State Fairgrounds for outdoor stalls. Indoor stalls must be vacated by
10am on Sunday, June 28, 2020. Exhibitors wishing to stay past 10am on Sunday must make arrangements
with the Wyoming State Fairgrounds for outdoor stalls.
15. FARRIERS, VETERINARIANS: Any farrier or veterinarians other than the official show farrier or
veterinarian must check in at the show office and shall service only those animals as specifically requested by
the owner(s) thereof.
16. HALTER: “In ring” procedure will be used for halter.
17. HEALTH PAPERS: Health certificates (current within 30 days) are required for all horses, and
additionally, a negative Coggins test (current within 12 months) is required for all horses originating outside
of Converse County, Wyoming. All horses entered in the regional must be accompanied by documentation of
Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to
entering the show grounds. (see USEF rule GR.845. Effective 12/2015)
18. HELMETS FOR WORKING HUNTER/HUNTER HACK: It is compulsory for all persons at
Federation licensed hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions when mounted anywhere on the
competition grounds, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM
(American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use
and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. Exception: In Hunter or Jumper
classes, adults may be allowed to remove their headgear while accepting prizes and during the playing of the
National Anthem only; they must refasten their headgear prior to the lap of honor. It is compulsory for riders
in Paso Fino classes, both open and breed restricted including Hunter Hack, where jumping is required and
when jumping anywhere on the competition grounds to wear properly fastened protective headgear which
meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute)
standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. A Show
Committee, Competition Management, and Licensed Officials must bar riders without protective headgear
from entering the ring for classes in which protective headgear is required and may bar any entry or person
from entering the ring if not suitably presented to appear before an audience.
19. IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS: Every horse entered in the show will be assigned an identification
number. Correct numbers should be worn by riders and handlers at all times.
20. JUDGES: In the event that because of illness or failure of a judge to attend this show or to perform
his/her duties, the show committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the one who is officially
designated in the prize list, according to USEF rules. It is a violation of USEF rules to commit any act or
make remarks during the show that are considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast
aspersions on the judging, and any exhibitor may be barred from the show for this offense by the show
committee. No contact shall be made with the judge during any period of the show unless accompanied by a
member of the show committee designated by the show committee for such purpose. Further, no exhibitor
shall approach a judge regarding a decision unless they first obtain permission from the steward, who shall
arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time and place. “No exhibitor has the right to inspect the
judge’s cards without the judge’s permission.”
21. LEAD-LINE CLASS: Open to riders who are at least two (2) years of age and have not reached their
seventh (7th) birthday as of December 1, 2020. Leaders must be at least fourteen (14) years of age. Refer to
AHA Article 1218.
22. LEVELING CLASSES: Please refer to USEF rule AR110.2 for the AHA achievement leveling program.
A rider may enter their appropriate level or opt to enter a higher level instead. Exhibitors will be allowed to
enter their appropriate achievement level and/or any higher level(s) (all appropriate qualifications are
required). Exhibitors will not be allowed to level down, and are responsible for knowing their appropriate
level.
23. LIBERTY: Exhibition class - Not AHA or USEF recognized or approved. Horses must be shown without
tack, equipment, artificial appliances or appendages. A two-minute time limit will be allowed for the horse to
perform at Freestyle Liberty. Time and music will start when halter is removed. Time will expire at the signal of
the time keeper; at this time handlers have two minutes to retrieve horse or it will be eliminated from the class.
No more than two handlers per horse are allowed in the ring at one time. While at liberty, the horse may
perform at any gait, horses may perform tricks within their 2 minute time at liberty to count towards their
overall performance score. Handler(s) shall not touch the horse with whip or ride the horse at any time from
entrance into the show ring until after the expiration of the time limit. The use of a standard halter show whip is
allowed. The Show Committee shall handle all disputes and inquiries and their decision shall be final. Visit the

24. LOCATION OF CLASSES: Show management reserves the right to hold classes, or portions of classes
in any ring other than the main show arena if deemed necessary.
25. MEASURING OF HORSES: All horses entered in this show are subject to hoof inspections at the
discretion of the show management and may be inspected by the steward and/or show veterinarian at any
time. Toe measurement and shoe weighing will be in accordance with USEF rules Arabian Division.
26. NSF CHECKS : In the event a show competitor’s check is returned due to insufficient funds to Region 6,
the competitor must pay Region 6 for the full amount due and owing plus an NSF fee of $56 within fifteen
(15) days of notice from Region 6. Region 6 will only accept payment by certified check or money order. If
the full amount is not paid within the fifteen (15) day period, Region 6 shall report the NSF check to AHA.
See AHA Handbook, Chapter 4 for the complete list of rules regarding delinquent accounts. In the event of a
delinquent account, personal checks will not be an acceptable form of payment at Region 6 competitions for
five years immediately following the delinquency.
27. OWNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: The ownership of all horses entered in the show must be clearly
stated on the entry form. Any deviation between papers and entry form must have reason (purchase, lease,
papers in transit, etc.). It is required that all owners and exhibitors shall be members in good standing of an
Arabian Horse Association affiliated with the Arabian Horse Association, Aurora, Colorado, or pay a $35.00
SEM (single-event fee) in order to exhibit. (Exception: All owners of horses entered in the Region 6
Championships MUST be members of AHA). Horses entered in amateur owner and junior owner classes
MUST be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor’s family. “CONTRACTS
OF SALE” or “BILL OF SALE” are not accepted.
28. PERFORMANCE HALTER: Performance Halter cannot be split by ages or sexes. Must be 3 & Over and entered in a performance class at the show – or have competed in an Endurance of Competitive Trail Ride Per USEF Rule. The show may hold “Prospect” Performance Halter for 2 & Under.
29. PRESHOW AWARDS: Ribbons will be given for first through sixth place.
30. PRIZE MONEY: Prize money (paybacks) will be mailed within 30 days of the completion of the show.
31. PROTEST: A protest must be filled in accordance with the procedures as set forth in the USEF Rule
Book.
32. RANCH RAIL PLEASURE: Exhibition Class - Not AHA/USEF recognized or approved. See the full
list of rules on the “Regional Show” page at region6aha.com.
33. RECORDING OF HORSES: The USEF maintains the only official record of winnings of horses at all
regular member shows. Horses competing must be recorded under their full registered names. Recording
blanks are available at the USEF office. The recording fee for the life of a horse is $300. Annual renewal fee of
$95.
34. REFUNDS: Management agrees to cancel and refund all fees except the office fee and stall fee on any
horse not fit to show. A signed and dated veterinary certificate must be provided. All refunds will be made by
mail within 30 days of show closing, unless used as a credit on a show tab. Vet outs that occur at the show will
receive a refund of the class entry fees for only the classes the horse had to vet out, and it cannot re-enter the
show. Requests for any refund because of illness or injury of the exhibitor will be considered and subject to
management’s approval. Substitution of horses will be permitted in accordance with USEF rules.
35. REFUSAL OF ENTRIES: Show management retains the right to refuse entries in accordance with
USEF Rule XV, Article 1509, Section 1.
36. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: Garlands will be given to the champion and reserve in all
classes. Ribbons will be awarded to champion, reserve champion, and top five. Paybacks to designated classes
will be: $75, $50, $20, $20 and $20 (payback limited to Top 5 exhibitors). Paybacks will be awarded in classes
with four or more entries.
37. REGISTRATION PAPERS: The Board of Directors of AHA requires approved shows to require a copy
of both sides of the current registration papers of each entry to be submitted along with the entry form. Any
entries received without such registration papers will be charged an additional fee of $10. The copies of
registration papers will not be returned to you in your show packet. No show packets will be released to any
exhibitor who does not comply.
38. REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS: All horses yearlings and older to be shown in classes designated for
Purebred Arabians must be registered with the Arabian Horse Registry of America, Inc. and/or the Canadian
Arabian Horse Registry, or, if weanlings, MUST be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must
be entered under their full name. In the Half-Arabian classes, entry’s sire or dam MUST be a purebred
Arabian registered in the AHR of America and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry. Half-Arabians
MUST be registered with the Arabian Horse Association in the Half-Arabian or Anglo-Arabian Registry, or if
weanlings, must be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered under their full
registered name.
39. RESPONSIBILITY: All entries are accepted with the understanding that Region 6 and/or its officers
and employees, and/or the Wyoming State Fairgrounds will not be held responsible for any loss, personal
injury or damage to horses exhibited: or for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost or destroyed or
in any way damaged. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be occasioned to any person,
or any animal, or damage of any property while on the show grounds by any horse owned or exhibited by him;
and shall indemnify the management against all legally established claims or injury occasioned by any horse
owned or exhibited by him or arise from the negligence of the person in charge of any such horse. The
submitting of any entry form to the show secretary shall constitute an acceptance of each person signing the
same of the provisions herein set forth.
40. SCRATCHES: All class entries/scratches should be made through the show office in an appropriate
manner. Add/Scratch forms are available in the show office. To expedite the flow of classes, scratches must be
reported to the show office or gate before the beginning of the class.
41. SHARPS CONTAINERS: Sharps containers will be placed in the stalling barns for the disposal of
needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations throughout the stalling barns. These
containers when full will be disposed of properly. Competition management will fine any individuals including
trainer, owner, exhibitors or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable
instruments per USEF rule book.
42. SHOW OFFICE: The show office will be open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22nd. Each day of the show,
the office will be open from one hour before the start of the show until a half-hour after the last class.
Exhibitors are required to register promptly at the horse show office during these hours. Any changes will be
posted and announced.
43. SHOW TABS: Any exhibitor wishing to start a tab at the show office will be required to leave a signed
check at the office made payable to Region 6 AHA.
44. SHOWING STALLIONS: Stallions may be shown by ladies and junior exhibitors in all classes except
Walk-Trot 10 & under, Lead line, and Showmanship.
45. STALLS: Exhibitors wishing to be stalled together should send in their entries together. Horses must be
placed in stalls assigned and no changes will be permitted without the consent of the barn manager or show
management. Stalls are permanent, indoor, 10 foot x 10 foot, with full doors. The show committee reserves
the right to limit tack/groom stalls to 1 per every 4 horses if it becomes necessary. Decorative rock, chips or
sawdust used by the exhibitor should be cleaned up at the end of the show by the exhibitor.
46. SWEEPSTAKES PAYOUT: Top five awards will be made regardless of the number of entries in a class.
However, only awards made to the top 50 percent of the class (rounded up and not to exceed five awards) will
receive Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes payout, AHA Horse Achievement Award, Amateur Achievement
Award, High Point Horse Achievement Award, High Point Amateur Achievement Award, and Distance
Award points.
47. VEHICLES: Per USEF Rule GR901.29: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows
them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a
motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility
vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may
operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid
driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of
a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims,
losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those
responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for
individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronic transport
devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not
require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled
scooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be
deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the
parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating
the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other
mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
48. WALK/TROT 10 & Under: Open to exhibitors 10 & under as of December 1st of the current
competition year. To be judged at a walk and jog/trot accordingly. Riders must not have ever been judged in
a class at a recognized or non-recognized show requiring a canter/lope.
49. WALK/TROT 11 & Over: Exhibition Class – Not AHA/USEF recognized or approved. Open to
Amateur or Junior Exhibitors 11 years old and older as of December 1st of the current competition year.
Exhibitors who show in these Walk/Trot classes 11 & over may NOT show in any other class at that show
requiring a canter or lope, but may enter any class that does not require a canter or lope. A horse that is
shown in Walk/Trot 11 & over classes may be shown by a different exhibitor in other classes at that show or
by the same exhibitor in other classes that do not require a canter or lope. For the full list of rules, visit the

AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT
Each competitor (this includes at least one recorded owner and all trainers, drivers, riders, halter handlers,
coaches and the person(s) signing the entry blank) in an Arabian horse association recognized Arabian division,
at the time of entry into a competition, must submit a copy of a valid AHA membership/competition card, join
AHA or pay an AHA single event membership fee per competitor.
When an agent signs for the owner at an AHA recognized competition, both the owner and agent must be
members of AHA or pay the AHA single event membership. Single event membership is not acceptable at
AHA regional or national competitions.
Exhibitors in walk-trot classes are exempt from AHA membership requirements at qualifying competitions, but
must have an AHA membership with competition card at AHA regional and national competitions. Exhibitors
in lead line classes or parents/guardians signing for minors are exempt from AHA membership requirements.

USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT
Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular
Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at
the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may
participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing
Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon
payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of
this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception:
Friesian performance FR218) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly
in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed
Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current
membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11)
assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.
