best of the good ol' days in a safe, sane, sensible & responsible manner. The organization intends to bring back
the good ol' memories & atmosphere of the Fabulous 50's, Super 60's, Fantastic 70's and Rocking 80’s.
Membership is Open to Anyone interested in automobiles & would like to meet others with similar
interests. The annual Membership / Donation includes a Windshield Decal, Dash Plaque & a Monthly Newsletter
via E-Mail or U.S. Postal Service, that provides information on upcoming Automotive Events, Cruises, Car
Shows, Swap Meets and Special Interest Events, in and around the Las Vegas area.

8 Daylight Saving Time Begins – The main purpose of Daylight Savings Time is to make better use of the daylight.
We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. There is
more light to enjoy in the evening. The crime rate drops during daylight savings time. It minimizes energy consumption
and lowers the cost. It lowers the incidence of traffic accidents. Turn your clocks ahead and lose an hour on the second
Sunday in March, at 2:00am, and fall back an hour on the first Sunday in November at 2:00am.
8 International Women’s Day – International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8, and continues all year
long to encourage action. International Women’s Day actively choose to challenge stereotypes , fight bias, broaden
perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Purple is the internationally recognized color to
symbolize women while the combination of the colors green, purple and white is meant to represent women’s equality.

17 St. Patrick’s Day – Every March 17, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated with parades, parties and a lot of green. This date
marks the death of Saint Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland. St. Patrick was neither Irish nor initially a devout Christian.
At the age of sixteen, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave. After years of enslavement, it is said a voice
came to him in his sleep and urged him to escape. Reunited with his family, he studied to become a priest and spent the
remainder of his life as a missionary in Ireland. St. Patrick is attributed with using the three leaves of the shamrock to
explain the Holy Trinity and banishing snakes from Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day was only a minor holiday in Ireland until the
1970’s. In the United States it has been celebrated since before the Revolutionary War, when Irish members of the Colonial
Army held the first Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City in 1762. Today, the holiday has evolved to become a
secular celebration of Irish culture.
