Below we have listed three travel routes from Taiwan’s 3 international airports. We have also indicated our recommended route which is the quickest journey to the race destination.

1. ✈ KHH Airport → Kenting (recommended)  KHH Airport is approximately 110 km from Kenting and we have listed three (A-C) transportation options.

A) Kenting Express Bus → Kenting (recommended) B) Taxi → Kenting C) Car → Kenting 

 

A) Kenting Express Bus → Kenting (recommended) After arriving at KHH, walk to the ‘Tourists Service Center’ in the arrival lobby of KHH Terminal Level 1. Here you can purchase bus tickets & take the Kenting Express Bus direct to Kenting. The Kenting stop is called ‘XiaoWan’ & is the final stop on the route. More information is available here.  

● Price (approx.): ○ One way: NTD $300 (+ MTB $450) ○ Round Trip: NTD $600 (+MTB $900) 

● Trip Length (approx.): 2.5 hr  MTB Transportation: MTBs can be carried on the bus under the following conditions: 

● They need to be placed in a bike bag ● Both wheels need to removed from the frame ● You need to pay half the amount of a full ticket for your MTB 

 

B) Taxi → Kenting The taxi collection point is located in both the domestic and international arrival terminal first floor exit. The central point for the event is the Kenting Youth Activity Centre (墾丁青年活動中心) & you can show the Taxi driver the Chinese as a reference.  

● Price (approx.): NTD $2,000 - One way ● Trip Length (approx.): 2 hr

C) Car → Kenting  From KHH, take the Provincial Highway No. 17 and connect to the County Route 1 at Shueidiliao after Donggang. Take Provincial Highway No. 26 after Fengkang and head towards Kenting. Directions from KHH to Kenting Youth Activity Centre available here.

2. ✈ TPE Airport → Kenting  Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is Taiwan’s largest & busiest airport. It is located approximately 50 km from Taipei City. We have two transportation recommendations, A) & B), from TPE Airport to Kenting.

A) Shuttle Bus → Taoyuan HSR Station → HSR → Zuoying HSR Station → Kenting Express Bus / Taxi → Kenting

A) Shuttle Bus / Taxi → Taoyuan HSR Station → HSR → Zuoying HSR Station → Kenting Express Bus / Taxi → Kenting  

1. Shuttle Bus / Taxi  ○ Shuttle bus to Taoyuan HSR Station: Tickets for the shuttle bus to 

the Taoyuan HSR Station (高鐵桃園站) can be bought at the bus service counter. 

■ Bus number: 705 ■ Duration (approx.): 25 min ■ Cost: NTD $30 ■ Operating Hours: 06:00-21:45, every 15-30 minutes; 

21:45-22:50, every 20-40 minutes. ■ 24-hour free tel: 0800-241560

○ Taxi to Taoyuan HSR Station: Taxis operating by shifts are located at the west side of Terminal 1's and Terminal 2's arrivals lobby. You will need to ask the taxi drive to take you to Taoyuan HSR Station (高鐵桃園站) & you can show the Taxi driver the Chinese as a reference. 

■ Duration (approx.): 15 min ■ Cost (approx.): NTD $200 

2. HSR to Zuoying HSR station (Kaohsiung City): Tickets to Zuoying HSR station (Kaohsiung City) can be bought at any ticketing counter at the Taoyuan HSR Station. 

○ Duration (approx.): 1h 40min ○ Cost: NTD $1,330 ○ First Service (departing): 06:49 ○ Last Service (departing): 22:35 

■ Arriving: 23:59 3. Kenting Express Bus / Taxi to Kenting 

○ Kenting Express Bus: Tickets for the the Kenting Express are located on the 1st floor near exit three. The Kenting stop is called ‘XiaoWan’ & is the final stop on the route. 

■ Trip Length (approx.): 2h 30min ■ Cost (approx.): NTD $300 ■ Cost with MTB (approx): NTD $450 

○ Taxi: Follow the signs to the taxi collection point. The central point for the event is the Kenting Youth Activity Centre (墾丁青年活動中心) & you can show the Taxi driver the Chinese as a reference.

B) Car → Kenting  From TPE Airport, take Highway 1 or 3 South towards Kaohsiung. When you are nearing Kaohsiung, follow the ‘Kenting Park’ exit and continue on the coastal highway until you reach Kenting. Directions from TPE Airport to Kenting Youth Activity Centre available here. 

● Duration (approx.): 5.15 hr ● Distance: 455 km

3. ✈ TSA Airport → Kenting Taipei Songshan Airport is located within Taipei city & is the furthest airport from the race destination. We have two transportation recommendations, A) & B), from TPE Airport to Kenting.

B) Car → Kenting    A) MRT / Taxi → Taipei Main Station → HSR → Zuoying HSR Station → Kenting Express Bus / Taxi → Kenting  

1. MRT / Taxi: Taiwan High Speed Rail is located within Taipei Main Station (台北車站). 

a. MRT to Taipei Main Station ■ The Songshan Airport Metro Station can be found in Terminal 

1. Tickets to Taipei Main Station can be bought near the entrance to the Metro & you will need to transfer from the Brown Line to the Blue Line at ‘Zhongxiao Station’. More info can be found here. 

● Transfers: 1 ● Duration (approx.): 20 min ● Cost: NTD $20 

b. Taxi to Taipei Main Station ■ The taxi rank is located outside the arrivals lobby & you will 

need to ask the taxi drive to take you to Taipei Main Station (台北車站) & you can show the Taxi driver the Chinese as a reference. 

● Duration (approx.): 15 min ● Cost (approx.): NTD $200  

2. HSR to Zuoying HSR station (Kaohsiung City): Tickets to Zuoying HSR station (Kaohsiung City) can be bought at any HSR ticketing counter at the Taipei Main Station HSR service centres. Be sure that your train is heading South.

When you are nearing Kaohsiung, follow the ‘Kenting Park’ exit and continue on the coastal highway until you reach Kenting.
