200 Angler Max participation10% of the field will be paid out. Bassin’ Big Bass will be Awarded for the longest bass caught during the event.

The Top 3 non-qualified anglers from each open will receive automatic invites to the Tournament of Champions. Invites will only extend out to the Top 10 finishers if needed.

The Top 100 Anglers in each open will receive AOY points for their finish. Additional AOY points can be earned by having the Largest Limit or Big Bass of the day.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

3-DAY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS: $360: ENTRY FEE $335: CONTRIBUTED TO TOC CASH PAYOUT $25: ADMINISTRATIVE FEE

The reigning Champion will earn an automatic invite. (1)

The Top 19 non-qualified anglers in the FARWIDE Angler of the Year point’s race will recieve Invites. (19)

The top anglers of the season who have qualified for this event through Opens and AOY points will battle it out for the ultimate crown in competitive kayak fishing. This is the final event to earn FARWIDE Angler of the Year points. All 50 anglers will compete for 3 days. 50 Anglers (49 Qualified plus last year’s Champion). 20% of the field will be paid out Bassin’ Big Bass will be Awarded for the longest bass caught during the event. Lake Eufaula will be Off-Limits Oct 1 to Nov 7.Official Practice period will begin Nov 8 and end @ 4pm Nov 11.

The culmination of Points from 4 total events consisting of 3 Opens and the TOC. Anglers are encouraged to fish more than 3 opens, but points will only be counted for their 3 highest finishes during the season.

The Top 100 Anglers in each open will receive points for their finish. Points will start at 100 and go down 1 point for each place.Additional points can be earned by having the Largest Limit or Big Bass of the day. If there are ties for Largest Limit or Big Bass, points will be distributed to all.

Largest Limit each day is worth .3Largest Bass each day is worth .1The TOC will be worth 100 points, going down 2 points for each position. Any ties prior to the TOC to gain eligibility into the 19 remaining spots will be broken by highest event finish, then 2nd highest event finish. Any ties for AOY after the TOC will be broken by the angler that finishes the highest during the TOC.

ANGLER OF THE YEAR




Hobie BOS will be giving away a 2021 Hobie MirageDrive Powered Kayak with 180 Kickup technology to a random participant in the BOS series. Anglers will earn a chance to win this kayak for each event they participate in. Chances can be earned at all 10 opens, one chance per open event entered. The drawing for this kayak will occur during the Tournament of Champions.

Hobie will be awarding a custom colored and themed Hobie Pro Angler with 360 MirageDrive Technology to the top finisher in the FarWide Angler of the Year contest. In addition to the limited one off kayak color, it will also come rigged with select items from our sponsors. The kayak will be awarded at the Tournament of Champions.

Kayak anglers who have qualified to represent their nation from countries across the globe will compete for a World Championship Title. Having the opportunity to represent Team USA and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity is extremely special. The location of the event switches between countries each time and we’ve visited fisheries in Australia, USA, Netherlands, China and Sweden in the past. Each event captures the culture of the country, offers a unique fishery and boasts camaraderie among anglers that makes our community and the sport of kayak fishing so special.

How to qualify for the Hobie Fishing Worlds through the Hobie Bass Open Series:- Top 3 of FARWIDE Angler of the Year (3 spots)- Winner of The Tournament of Champions (1 spot)*If the winner of the TOC is 1 of the top 3 AOY then the 4th place AOY will take that spot
