DAY 5: VALLETTA, MALTA Founded by the Knights of St. John and deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site, Malta’s picturesque capital offers a grand collection of honey-colored limestone buildings and ancient fortifications. See the Caravaggio tour de force The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist inside St. John’s Co-Cathedral or explore the National Museum of Fine Arts. DAY 6: CRUISING THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA DAY 7: FLORENCE/PISA/TUSCANY (LIVORNO), ITALY The masterpieces of the Renaissance await you in Florence. Pisa’s Field of Miracles and iconic Leaning Tower also beckon, as does the Tuscan countryside, renowned for its gently rolling hills, medieval hilltop villages, and world- class wines. DAY 8: SAINT-TROPEZ, FRANCE Bask in the heart of the French Riviera, a favorite spot of Brigitte Bardot, and a place Matisse once called “France’s little nook of paradise.” Mingle with the rich and famous at the beach clubs that line the sand with restaurants, bars, plush sun beds, and colorful umbrellas. DAY 9: MONTE CARLO, MONACO With an area of less than one square mile, this city-state packs excitement into its small space, including the glamorous Monte Carlo Casino and the Circuit de Monaco, the site of the famed Grand Prix. DAY 10: MARSEILLE/PROVENCE, FRANCE Voyage to Marseille and see the beautiful Cathédrale de Marseille Notre Dame de Major as you cruise into port. Wander through the ancient Le Panier neighborhood or the République quarter with its historic Haussmannian buildings and stylish boutiques, or meander through the picturesque countryside of Provence.
