How You Have Help ToMake A DifferenceAlhamdulillah, our Ehsan Ramadhan 2021 campaign wentsuccessfully with the execution of multiple projects including food aid distribution, wakaf, zakat, Eid gifts, and more.

Through the generosity of our donors and the efforts of our teams and partners, Global Ehsan Relief provided aid which benefitted63,470 people in 28 different countries.

This Ramadhan, many communities around the world are still vulnerable to the effects of a global pandemic. With economies affected, the poor and needy are struggling even more to make ends meet. Refugees in displacement camps are relying even more on humanitarian aid.

Food aid and iftar meals are one of the most crucial aid we deliver in the month of Ramadhan, to ensure that our beneficiaries have food to eat, giving them a peace of mind and allowing them to focus on the things that make Ramadhan special - worship and time with family.

Wakaf projects were also implemented in the month ofRamadhan. Sets of Qur’an and Qur’an Braille were distributed, giving beneficiaries the chance for tadarrus.

Wakaf water projects such as water wells, community water wells, and ablution places were constructed to provide cleandrinking water.

QUANTITYQUR’ANOur wakaf projects are ongoing even in the month of Ramadhan, where your sadaqah becomes even more meaningful.

5,949 sets of wakaf Qur’an were distributed in six countries: Rohingya refugees, Uganda, Kenya, Mali, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

They were distributed in rural villages, where they either have limited or zero access to the Qur’an and have learned it through verbal transmission. Thanks to these wakaf Qur’an, they can now recite from a mushaf.

QUR’AN BRAILLE 500 sets of wakaf braille Qur’an digital were distributed in Indonesia. 300 in Jakarta, 200 in Yogyakarta. They were donated to institutions for the visually impaired who have been learning to recite and understand the Qur’an, but have not been able to afford to obtain more copies of a Qur’an Braille which tend to be costly. As a result, they don’t have enough materials to go around and the students have had to rely on the schools’ limited resources.

These water solutions can provide clean water for up to 10 years.

Meat Packs DistributionOn top of Eid gifts, the 264 orphans in Indonesia also received fresh meat packs so that they can have a nutritious, hearty meal on the day of Eid. Coming from poor areas of Aceh, these children only manage to eat meat once or twice a year. The meat packs distributed to them are a luxury they were able to enjoy in celebration of Eid.

Hygiene Kits DistributionLike last year, this year we welcomed Ramadhan with the presence of a global pandemic looming over us. Bearing in mind the need toprotect ourselves against the virus, 100 hygiene kits were distributed in Gaza. This hygiene kit gave the recipients the tools to maintain their personal hygiene, protective gear like masks and gloves, and products to keep their environment clean.
