Not all Clubs are Created Equal…Ask Questions!

• Are they AAU or USAV affiliated?• Are all costs included in the price?• Are you willing to travel (drive/fly)?• Where are the National Tourneys?

– Are they in locations where your daughter may be interested in being recruited?

• Have the Clubs and their Director/Coaches acted appropriately?• Is the coach a parent or High School coach?• Do Players tend to return?• DON’T FALL FOR A NAME – Elite, Premier, World…• How many Teams/Locations does Club have?

Recent Coach Testimonials"It has been a pleasure to work with TJ, his club, and their athletes. One thing that is at the top of our list for recruits is to have good character and be able to cohesively blend into our culture. Players at Fusion that we have recruited have been extremely high character as well as talented. That is due to leadership and values, which is why we’ll continue to have a great relationship with Fusion."- Jeff Rotondo, Head Coach - Rider Univeristy (2021)“We have recruited quite a few players from Fusion over the past five or six years. Been fortunate to have six come play for us at Kutztown. While they have played different positions and have had different personalities, they have also shared quite a few qualities. They have all been hard-working, committed to the team and dependable. They arrived on campus well-coached and prepared to take on the challenge of competing at the next level. Finally, they are just really nice people and enjoyable to be around. And all have raved about their experience playing for Fusion.” - John Gump, Head Coach - Kutztown University (2021)

"The Fusion Club teams are always at the top of my list during the recruiting season. TJ is always excited to talk about his players and cares more about his players finding the right fit scholastically and athletically than he does chasing the prestige of compelling players into any specific program or level. He genuinely understands that different players will thrive in different programs. I have found the recruiting process to be robust and active with Fusion teams over the years because the athletes thatplay in this club are very well coached, highly skilled, and fundamentally sound volleyball players who thrive at the next level. It is an outstanding volleyball club program." - Erik Berthold, Recruiting Specialist/Asst. Coach - Lycoming College (2021)

"TJ Shultz, and the Fusion Volleyball Club, are doing a tremendous job training, preparing, and providing exposure to young women that want to pursue a college volleyball career. I know that TJ is one of the first calls I will make when recruiting! The players at Fusion are trained at a level that will prepare them to be successful, get on the court and make a difference right away. Great program! Great coaching!"- Trish Melfy, Head Coach - East Stroudsburg University (2021)

"The type of young lady that Fusion turns out is 2nd to none. The focus of this club is just not on the court or, athletics. It is the whole person and it is very much directed towards life skills and not just athletic skills. They are truly caring about the individual: mind, heart, body and soul is very much entrenched as a core value. Making sure that these young ladies are ready for their next chapter and the real world is easy to see. Coach Shultz always talks about list these athletes like they were his own child and I have not spoken with anybody coming from his program and not felt like they were ready for their next chapter in life."- Jeff Juleck, Asst. Coach - University of Pittsburgh in Bradford (2021)
