    Optical HDMI Extender

    WARNING

    - Do not dismantle the housing or modify the product.Dismantling the housing or modifying the product may result in electricalshock or burn.

    - Do not touch the Product with wet hands.Touching the housing and plug with wet hands is dangerous and can

    cause electrical shock.- Do not pull out the cable by the power over maximum allowable

    tensile load or bend excessively over bending radius.By the over pull-out strength or excessive bending, the optical performanceof HDM cable can be deteriorated. Please comply with the specification.

    DescriptionSMARTVMs HDML-Axxx extender receive electrical HDMI(High DefinitionMultimedia Interface) signal from DVDP, Set-top box or other videoequipment to convert it to optical signal in order to transmit it long away

    without any signal degradation. Finally, by the optical signal beingconverted to electrical HDMI signal, original signal from video source canbe transferred without any noise to display like HDTV, PDP and projector,.etc.

    Installation1. Power off display source such as DVDP, Set-top box and display.

    2. Connect the enclosed copper HDMI cables into each display sourceand display.

    3. Connect copper HDMI cable attached to display source intotransmitter side

    4. Connect HDML(Transmitter) to the HDMI cable(source) andHDML(Receiver) to the HDMI cable(display).

    5. Connect the optical cable(4ch-LC standard connector) betweentransmitter and receiver by order no1,2,3,4.

    6. Connect the UTP cable( RJ45 connector) for DDC

    7. Power on the source and display.(check the LED light on of transmitter and receiver)

    8. Even if it doesnt work, power for the activation of optical HDML canbe insufficient. In this case, please insert enclosed external power adaptor into transmitter of HMDL.

    Note 1 SmartVM s optical HDML extender has backward compatibility

    with DVI standard 1.0. If you want to use our HDML with display or display source with only DVI connector, you can use it with copper DVI to HDMI cable. In this case, however, audio signal can not be delivered.Note 2. Please use the standard multimode glass optical fiber and LCconnector for system working.

    Trouble ShootingHDMI signals run a very high frequency and are especially susceptible tobad video connections, too many adapters, or too long cables. To avoidthe loss of an image or image jitter, follow these guidelines:

    l Do not use the copper HDMI cable different from enclosed cable.HDMI signal can be worse by the cable.

    l Use only cable designed for HDMI signalsl Limit or avoid the use of adapters
