This Newsletter is for the parishioners and friends of the parish. It is for private circulation. Feel free to take it with you and share it with others especially the sick and the home bound.
Prospectus for our fund raising towards the church hall at St Hugh’s in Woodstock
Ways that you could make your contributions
1) With one off large sum (six figure) donations - that may be Gift Aided from parishioners,
benefactors well wishers and donors. Such will be recognised appropriately in the hall.
2) Any other one off donations that may be Gift Aided
3) Planned giving - by standing order: you may fill in a standing order form to be given
weekly, monthly or as you may prefer specifically mentioning that it is for the ‘STH Hall’
the forms are at the churches porch. Fill in and pass on through the presbytery door.
4) Planned giving - 10 monthly envelope scheme. Please sign up the sheet at the front of the
church to receive your envelops for the 10month contribution towards the ‘STH Hall’ .
You will be allocated a number and so you could collect your set of envelops for the year,
to return it as appropriately each month. Please collect your set of envelops.
5) Other collective and individual fund raising schemes and activity

You many choose to support this cause of the parish in one or many ways mentioned above as
you may afford to do so. All your donations and contributions will be recognised and recorded
appropriately according to ones wishes, for the history of the parish

ST CHAD’S PILGRIMAGE, 23 SEPTEMBER 2017 Bishop Michael Ipgrave, the Bishop of Lichfield, and Long-ly invite clergy and parishioners of the two Dioceses to take part in a pilgrim walk from St Chad's Cathedral, Bir-mingham to Lichfield Cathedral, approximately 18 miles. This is not a sponsored event but an ecumenical initiative which will allow for people to take part in a stage of the walk if you feel that the whole distance is too much. The route will move from St Chad's, along arranged canal paths and emerging at Perry Common. Then onward through Sutton Park and Little Aston.
Kindly note that the parish office is closed for summer.

or simply make your own donation & join us as a parish social event.
To be paid by 16th August. Please put payment in an envelope mark
‘Bournemouth Trip’ ( cash or cheques made pay-able to ‘St Thomas More Parish’) and hand it
over to the sacristy or put it through the Inner door of the presbytery, with the names of
the people that is paid for.
If you would like to come please put your name on the list in the church porch. Please ensure
only one name is entered against each seat number.
Out of 49 places, there are only about 14 places left on a first come first served basis. Please do support it by joining us you can bring with you
anther parishioner, a friend or anyone who may like to have a day trip, getting out of home.

Marriage Encounter Weekends will be taking place at Barnes Close, Bromsgrove (Non Residen-tial) 9th-10th September 2017 and at the Ibis Hotel, Rugby (Residential) 24th-26th November 2017. They are enrichment weekends for nor-mal, ordinary marriages ( NOT counselling). ME weekends have proved time and time again to be of immense value to couples however long they have been married.
