INTRODUCTIONJesuscomparedtheKingdomofGodtoatreasurefoundburiedinafield.Theimageryhereisofatreasureworthgivingyourlifeto.ThetreasureJesusistalkingaboutisanintimaterelationshipwithGod.JesustellsusthatwecanhavethesamerelationshipwithGodtheFatherthatHehas.Wecanthinkofnogreatertreasure!PrayerisacriticalpartofdevelopingthatintimaterelationshipwithGod.Hewantstolistentoyourprayers,andwantstorespondtothem.Godisveryinvolvedinyoureverydaylife.Hegivesyoueverybreathyoubreathe.Heistheonewhoprovidesforyoureveryneed.ItonlymakessensetopraytoHimabouttheissuesyouarefacing.Thereisanotheraspectofprayerthatispowerfulandcannotbeoverlooked.GodisadvancingHiskingdomontheearth.Heisconstantlymovinginyourlife,inyourfriendsandlovedones’lives,andintheworldaroundyou.GodwantsyoutojoinHiminthisgreatwork.OnewayyoucanjoinHimisbyprayingorinterceding.Whenweintercede,weareconnectingwithGod’sactivity.WethenseeGodmoveinresponsetoourprayers.Prayersareanswered,ourworldisimpactedandchanged,andourfaithandtrustinGodgrows.IntercessionhastheabilitytoimpactourworldandourrelationshipwithGodatthesametime.Howeveryouusethisjournal,ourdesireistoseeyouenterintoamorepowerful,moreintimaterelationshipwithGodthroughprayerandintercession.ItistimetobelieveBIG!
