Hypertension Management — From Bench To Bedside And Community
WHC 2009 Highlights2009 is a milestone for both the World Hypertension League (WHL) and the Chinese Hypertension League (CHL). This year, as a world organization dedicated to hypertension prevention and control, the WHL will celebrate its 25th anniversary. In the same year, the CHL, the sole representative of the WHL in China, will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
In celebration of this meaningful achievement, the WHL in conjunction with the CHL will organize the World Hypertension Congress 2009, an international gathering bringing together global experts to present and discuss clinical and public health topics in the area of hypertension and cardiovascular disease prevention and management.
This four-day conference (October 29 ~ November 1, 2009, Beijing) has as its focus Hypertension Management—From Bench to Bedside and Community. It will provide an opportunity to look back with pride on the advances achieved in hypertension and cardiovascular disease management, and more importantly, to look ahead at the great challenges we are facing right now and those we will be facing in the future. How do we apply what we know now and bring it from the research bench to the bedside and the community?
Who will Attend? This important event will be of interest not only to clinical physicians and research scientists but also healthcare professionals, community healthcare workers and industry representatives. Delegates from over 85 member countries are expected to attend.
We estimate that over 4000 delegates will join the congress. Over 30% of delegates are expected to be from countries outside China, and the majority of these delegates will be from countries in the APAC region.
ProgramThe 3.5 day program will concentrate on diagnosis and treatment, primary and secondary prevention, improving the application of preventative care in a continuous way on a patient-to-patient basis.
