• UDP log files: SYSLOG_<index>.txt

• Binary log files: BTSLOG_TRACE_<index>.bin

• RealTime log files

BTSLog and Firewall Settings

In case only “Ping failed” messages are visible in RealTime log and all necessary settings are correct check the Firewall settings on PC/laptop.E.g. Control Panel --> Admin Tools --> Services and disable OfficeScanNT Firewall

If OfficeScan NT Firewall is started: Just “Ping failed” loggedIf OfficeScan NT Firewall is stopped: All real time information is logged

Nodes which can be set in BTSLog (which nodes can be configured depends on nodes.ini file used). If some Nodes are configured but not accessible because they aree.g. not installed, they cause ping-not-ok in the BTSLog main window.

Filtered RealTime Log

Filter can be applied on RealTime logs. Only those messages will than be displayed which contain one or more strings set in the filter. Another example for usage of the filter: Set ‘OnAir’ string as filter in order to check if the eNB is going into ‘OnAir’ state after startup.

BTS Log: Disable Authorization Click ‘Nodes’ in main window, than ‘R&D Parameters’ Tab and than ‘Get Current’.Double-click on parameter 244 and change the value.Note: The change made via BTSLog will be lost by the next reset. In order to disable authorization permanently, swconfig.txt with appropriate settings need to be copied to FCMD in /rom directory (username:password for OSE are NokiaWCDMA:NETOulu)

Pinger

Pinger is a batch file used to ping all modules in eNB: FCMD, FSPs, Faradays on FSPs, FTM and FRGH. Once started ping to the modules is sent periodically.

In order to get Pinger working following steps need to be performed:

• unzip PING_Fararays_all_FSPs1.zip to for example C:\Pinger (this will unpack PING_Fararays_all_FSPs1.BAT to this directory)

• Create shortcut to PING_Fararays_all_FSPs1.BAT

Python

Python is an application which is delivered as Windows Installer Packet with the name like python-2.5.2.msi, as well as an extension wxPython2.8-win32-unicode-2.8.7.1-py25.exe. Sharenet link: https://sharenet-ims.inside.nokiasiemensnetworks.com/livelink/livelink?func=ll&objId=415158651&objAction=Browse&viewType=1

Python scripts are used for eNB setup for following tasks:• Setting of HWAPI BIOS version on FCMD : HWABIOS_Version.py• Modification of product code on the System Module: Pn.py• Browse CPUs on FSPs (SW version running on the FSP is also

displayed): browsercpus_<..>.py• Formating the new file system for puttibatti software package:

FilesystemFormat.py• Show RT OS startup location and active file system for puttibatti package:

SDSF_Operations_v2.py

browsercpu

browsercpu is Python script (e.g. browsercpus_inc16.py which sends a ping to FSP, Faradays and CPUs on the considered FSP. Furthermore, it displays the active SW on FSP (LN1.0_LTE_18_22_15). Number of FSPs which are pinged by the script can easily be changed by editing the python script (search for loop “for fsp in range(x,y):” If x=2 and y=3 only FSP3 is considered; if x=0 and y=3 than all FSPs are pinged.

BswAct

BswAct is delivered as BswAct.exe and is started from DOS-shell.

It is used to flash Linux OS to FCMD and FSPs.
