I n ternsh ips a t Tr i -PackInternships provide a unique opportunity to students to learn beyond the walls of the traditional classroom. In fact it is a learning by observing, learning by reflecting and learning by doing. At Tri-Pack every year we offer internships to high potential students from top notch universities of the country with an opportunity to engage in experiential learning while developing knowledge, skills and awareness of the system. Here, we have a feedback relating to their experience in the world of Tri-Pack.

Alina RizviHRD Executive

When I first entered Plant Port Qasim, I was not sure whether I would be able to be consistent in coming for an internship every early morning for the following month. However, I was greeted by Mr. Naveed Kasmani and Ms. Alina Rizvi, my supervisors, in the HR Department. Their warm welcome and supervision had not only comforted me, but their encouragement put me to work with immediate effect. My motive was to gain a first-hand, dynamic and practical corporate experience. Not only did I achieve this aim, but also learnt how an efficient and effective corporation works; from the small office leg work to formal meetings, development trainings and documenting. My learning experience ended to be remarkably valuable and I had not only return with the knowledge and training Tri-Pack Films provided, but a handful of precious memories that I will always cherish as my first internship experience.

Fiza Zafar- LUMSInternee - HRD Department

Internship at Tri-Pack Films Ltd. was such an immense experience for me to implement my knowledge practically and gain professional experience. As being completely new to practical and corporate world setting, every hour spent at Tri-Pack in Commercial department gave me remarkable experience all the time, which cannot be explained in words. But nevertheless, they were all useful for my career. The various boundaries to process

improvement and maintaining ethical standards in a corporate environment have also been experienced.

Shyan Ali Talpur- SZABISTInternee - Commercial Department

Interning at Tri-Pack was an amazing experience which not only provided me the opportunity to interact with professionals internally but also externally. The staff here is not only supportive but also provided the required guidance every step of the way. In these six weeks I have not only worked on projects but have also participated in day to day functions. I left Tri-Pack with practical knowledge, more confidence about work places and wonderful memories of days full of fun and learning. Overall it was an amazing learning experience!

Naureen Jalaluddin - LUMSInternee - Commercial Department

Before my internship at Tri-Pack Films I had very little idea of professional life. But the way I was helped to understand the environment by every person working here and the abundance of knowledge I was shared with, it is hard to choose what has been the most impactful thing I’ve learned, but it’s been eye-opening just to take part in building a successful product. I guess the most important thing I’ve learned is that there are no magic bullets, creating a product worth using is not easy. The most beneficial

part of my internship was all of the smaller things I’ve learned, like how a small change in temperature or humidity can turn a good product to a bad one and how tough it is to maintain the optimum conditions required by the processes.

Hassan Uddin Nizami – Karachi UniversityInternee - Plant-PQ

I always wanted to follow an internship where I could work in field and processing area. The process of observing, researching and planning has always interested me. That is why I choose to

8

follow my internship at Tri-Pack. I like to thank the HRD staff Miss. Alina Rizvi and Mr. Naveed Kasmani who welcomed me at Tri Pack and built a bridge for me for entering in production line. The experience I’ve gained here exceeds anything I could have expected. The interactive environment and regular feedback by the HR and Operation Manager Mr. Muhammad Asadullah Butt made me feel like a valid contributor to the company. I feel highly privileged that I have worked as an internee here and I am affirmative that the knowledge which I gained during this internship would accompany me in my future academic and professional career.

S. Aeleya Shah- Karachi UniversityInternee - Plant-PQ

My internship was truly enlightening throughout in Tri-Pack Films Ltd. The most privileged part of my internship was having the opportunity to observe a plant in operation and a very learning experience to see how film is manufactured. Its one thing to see a picture or learn the theory behind a process, but the actual hands-on experience gives me an entirely different perspective. I got a chance to observe how Extruders, Chillers, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, Metallizer, Slitting unit in operation which further enhanced my learning. During my internship period I encountered project work which provides great experience and is a terrific opportunity to network with engineering professionals. With this, I managed to have an overview of the entire operations of the plant . The environment was challenging, friendly, and very supportive. It has proven to be valuable experience for me, and it certainly a great stepping during course of my studies.

Sidra Sikandar- Karachi UniversityInternee - Plant-PQ

My internship began on the 6th of July and ended on 31st of August. Meanwhile in Tri-Pack Films Ltd. I learned the operations of the known software of SAP, where i came to know how the order is placed for production. Moreover I gathered more experience by looking into the customer complaints and how to deal with them in a correct manner. I also looked into the managing of customer records regarding payments and presenting them on Microsoft Excel, creating the records enhanced my Microsoft Excel skills. In short my overall experience was full of learning and development.

Hafsa HussainInternee - Marketing Department

Being an intern, I was very excited to know about the practical implementation of the theory we studied in the industrial process. The experience as an intern at Tri-Pack was very immense and knowledgeable. Have learned a lot and it had only been possible by the corporation of staff at all level. At the end of the internship period I had take along all the memories at Tri-Pack and precious technical knowledge that I gained. Will always be thankful to all concerns who made it possible.

Hashim KhanInternee - Hattar Plant

This was a first time in my life to have an opportunity of thoroughly observing industrial process. It was a wonderful experience for me to notice that how successfully Tri-Pack is making its standards and how efficiently it is balancing the hard work, customers demands, market challenges, energy crises, output quality and adequate supply.

M. Usman Ali- GIKInternee - Hattar Plant

On July 1st, we entered a place that was clean, systemized and serene called Tri-Pack Films Limited for internship. We were given orientation about the whole processes and system for the first two days and increase our interest to know more about the industrial process. All the staff with whom we interface was so cooperative and guided us in such away regarding our project and conferred on us technical knowledge. In short it was a first flight that gave me wings to soar high to reach the height of the sky.
