THE HISTORY OF FARMALL

FARMALL®. PROVEN SINCE 1923.

Built to be affordable for small to medium-sized family farms, most Farmall tractors were general-purpose tractors which could readily perform a multitude of farming tasks – reducing the need for hired hands, eliminating the need for horses, and making Farmall a tried-and-true leader in the trend toward agricultural mechanisation in the 20th century.

Helping to revolutionise productivity on farms with their all-round capabilities and affordability, Farmall machines became much desired and, with this success, were emulated by other manufacturers who quickly introduced similar all-purpose tractors...with varying success.

With its bright red colour a distinctive badge, the brand was seen everywhere across the progressive farming landscape during the 1940s and 1950s. Various new trends in farming after the 1960s ended the era of Farmall manufacturing, however many Farmalls stayed in farming service while many others were restored and collected by enthusiasts.

In these respects, the Farmall era never ceased - and in 2012, when Case IH reintroduced the famed Farmall name on a new line of compact tractors in Australia, the proven hard-working versatility and clever design that first revolutionised farming in the 1920s was reborn.

patent applications for the first Farmall tractor, and hand builds 22 for testing by farmers. Thousands of horses will soon be out of work.

Farmall F-20, with its larger engine and improved transmission, replaces the Regular.

The famous letter series is launched - Farmall M, Farmall H, Farmall B & Farmall A. Extensive line of quick-

attach implements is introduced.

Farmall F-12 is introduced. Design includes larger rear tyres and no drop-box for gears.

Farmall F-30 is launched. A more powerful, three-plough tractor, designed for farmers with 200+ acres.

IH switches colour from “battleship grey” to trademark red, responding to safety concerns from so many Farmall tractors on the road.

Farmall F-14, featuring steering post changes and a faster engine speed, replaces the F-12.

Farmall CUB launched for farms under 40 acres. The smallest Farmall but one of the most popular.

Farmall Super A replaces A.

Farmall Super C replaces C.

Farmall Super M replaces M. Diesel version is called Super MD.

Case IH reintroduced the Farmall name on a new line of compact tractors, with the same hard-working versatility and ingenious design that first revolutionised farming in the 1920s.

powerful 3- and 4-cylinder engines, independent electro-hydraulic PTO and deluxe 3-point hitches. It also means modern

styling, plenty of leg room, tilt steering wheels, plus outstanding visibility, manoeuvrability and serviceability.

FARMALL B 23 - 57 HP

ENGINEWith powerful, fuel-efficient 3 and 4 cylinder diesel engines providing horsepower ranging from 23 to 57 hp, Farmall B Series tractors offer outstanding performance which will help you carry out a wide range of tasks that would normally require a much bigger machine.

TRANSMISSIONThe Farmall 20B and 25B offer a 2-range hydrostatic drive with variable speeds up to 15.7kph. Farmall 35B offers the option of 3-speed hydrostatic or 12x12 synchro with speeds up to 25kph. Farmall 40B offers a 16x16 synchro transmission with speeds up to 27kph. Farmall 50B the option of 3-speed hydrostatic or 16x16 synchro with speeds up to 27kph. And Farmall 60B ROPS and cab versions offer a 16x16 synchro with speeds up to 32kph.

The Farmall 75C model features a standard 12x12 Power Shuttle, plus a creeper 20x20 Power Shuttle option. ENGINEFarmall U Series tractors use Tier 4A-compliant Case IH FPT 4-cylinder 3.4-L turbocharged and intercooled engines. Precise electronic metering of fuel delivered with electronic high-pressure common-rail fuel injection for greater fuel savings while maintaining high horsepower levels.

TRANSMISSIONFarmall U models are equipped with a 16x16 40kph Semi-Powershift transmission which was developed by downsizing the proven Maxxum 16x16 transmission. An optional 32x32 creeper gear box allows speeds as low as 260 metres/hour, and all transmissions are equipped with Power Shuttle, which can be modulated for medium/fast response.

COMFORTA large, air-conditioned cab with 5.2m2 glass area provides a superb operator environment. Inside, a comfortable driver seat and passenger seat take the stress out of the longest working day, while a logical control layout and clear concise information display complete the package.

PERFORMANCEAn extensive range of options including front loaders, front linkage and PTO, turf, industrial or agricultural tyres means your Farmall U Series tractor will arrive ready to work the way you want. Cab versions can also be customised with performance monitors and ISO connector to enable data transfer between tractor and implement.

Each model is standard with mechanical self-levelling and can be optioned with a 1800mm or 2100mm quick attach general purpose or 4-in-1 bucket and a standard bonnet bump guard.
