1.3 Management of the technical transfer le

Low Voltage Line of Business Asia Pacic (LV LoB APOD) is in charge of management of the le.

Users are in contact with LV LoB APOD through local technical contact (offer management or technical support engineer) for any requests or questions

The technical transfer le contains mainly documents of offer denition Manufacturing documents are supposed to be developed locally by manufacturers, and they are not included in this transfer le.

This document denes the general rules to use and manage the tech-nical part of the MB301M transfer le.

It is included in the technical transfer le. Each user must comply with the rules to guaranty the quality and the international coherence of the MB301M offer.

Local adaptation is allowed to answer some special needs from customers, and transfer le is designed to allow local adaptations according to local needs.

Partners can decide some "light" adaptations (e.g. language, tools, simple adaptation which doesn't alter the switchboard performance...) under the supervision of SE technical support team

Countries have to contact LV LoB APOD for all other adaptations, and ask for the validation of these local adaptations

3.3 Management of the distribution of the transfer le

Users: Schneider equipment activities and partners

Distribution of successive revisions of the technical transfer le is made with DVD.

Each revision contains the document "What's new" le, which lists all the changes of these documents since the last revision

DVD contains all the documents of the technical transfer le (even if they are unchanged).

Only in case of urgent need, documents are distributed separately (E-Mail, MB301M Product Info ...), then they will be included in a new revision which will be distributed using DVD

4.1 Structure of a standard docu-ment numberAs shown in the following example, a standard document number consists of the following parts:

Reference number: 8 characters consist of letters and numbers Exclusive number assigned by Schneider Global R&D organization Type number: 2 numbers indicating the type of a document. Version number: 1 or 2 numbers indicating version information Transfer number: a number reserved by Schneider Electric R&D orga-nization, which can be ignored by partner

4.2 Local document numbering For the new documents generated during local adaptation by partners, partners should manage the numbering within theirs own manufactu-ring organization.

To be consistent with SE document numbering, it is proposed to use an alphanumeric appendix following the standard document number. For example, the number of a local adaptation version of "BBV55952020.2" can be "BBV55952020.2a".

    BBV55952 02 - 0 . 2

    5.1 Drawing format

    5.2 Reference documents

The documents of the transfer le must use the INTERNATIONAL SCHNEIDER drawing format.

Each document provided for the certications, will recall the former number used in order to ensure the traceability.

    General rules

6.1 The adaptations which can be done by partner autonomously

Adaptation allowed Why?You can adapt the enclosure panels (front panels, rear panels) to end-user needs, ensuring the phase-to-phase & phase-to-ground clearances remain the same as in MB301M (20mm minimum).

This does not have any impact on IEC60439-1 TTA characteristics of MB301M (short circuit, thermal rise, clearance / creepage distances)

You can adapt outgoing power connection by increasing their length or cross section (to have more cables connectable), ensuring the phase-to-phase & phase-to-ground clearances remain the same as in MB301M (20mm minimum)

Increasing the connection dimen-sions, with due care with clea-rances; will have a slightly positive effect on thermal rise. This does not affect negatively the IEC60439-1 type tested performance

You can take a* functional unit (feeder, drawer, incomer)* busbar* power connection* cablefrom MB301M DVD transfer le and increase its size, without changing its dened power/current rating.

Increasing the dimensions of func-tional unit / busbar / power connec-tion/cable, with due respect of rules expressed in MB301M transfer le, will have a slightly positive effect on thermal rise. This does not affect negatively the IEC60439-1 type tested performance.

    General rules

6.2 The adaptation which can not be done by partner autonomously

Adaptation forbidden Why?You must not adapt the busbars partitioning forms without Schneider Electric prior approval. Please contact your usual Schneider Electric support person for such requests.

The busbar partitions designed in MB301M transfer le guarantee the compliance with IEC60439-1 (forms):any change may affect compliance with this stan-dard and, worse, the safety level of switchboard (at start-up or maintenance)

You must not decrease outgoing power connec-tion size If such a change is needed, contact your usual Schneider Electric support person

Decreasing outgoing connections sizes may affect negatively local thermal rise, thus preven-ting compliance with IEC60439-1 (risk of local overheating: possible destruction of cables' insulation)

You must not take a* functional unit* busbar* power connection* cablefrom MB301M DVD transfer le and decrease its size. This may affect safety level (risk of re) and its compliance to IEC60439-1

Decreasing functional units' sizes may affect negatively internal thermal rise, thus preven-ting compliance with IEC60439-1 (risk of local overheating: possible destruction of electrical devices, insulators, plugs, cables)

You must not change routing of power circuits:* busbars* incoming / outgoing power connections without prior approval of Schneider Electric

Changing routing of power circuit needs high expertise to check whether adapted solution remains into what IEC60439-1 requires ("wi-thout deviations likely to signicantly inuence the performance, from the typical ASSEMBLY veried to be in accordance with this standard"). Such expertise is only available in the team who develops and maintains the MB301M offer.

You must not increase the rated power of a functional unit without adapting its design (size, shapes, etc.) according to the latest DVD transfer le version

Increasing functional units' ratings may affect negatively internal thermal rise, thus preven-ting compliance with IEC60439-1 (risk of local overheating: possible destruction of electrical devices, insulators, plugs, cables).

You must not change the ventilation fans dened in MB301M DVD transfer le. If you wish to use other ones:* check they have the same or bigger airow as the dened ones.* have the same size, or are smaller than the dened ones

    * Decreasing ventilation ow of functional units may affect negatively internal thermal rise, thus preventing compliance with IEC60439-1 (risk of local overheating: possible destruction of electri-cal devices, insulators, plugs, cables)* Increasing fans sizes may affect negatively clearance or creepage distances. Same risk as above

Important note:Below mentioned cases always affect the ofcially tested MB301M performance. As type-testing is a long and costly process, not complying with usual end-user projects dead-lines, we thus strictly recommend to follow these rules to avoid the adaptation affecting type-test perfor-mance of MB301M
