In India at present, around 20 design institutes and over 100 commercial art colleges. This number is expected to grow exponentially in the next few years.

It is probable that India will have over 300 design colleges by 2015 and over 1000 by 2020.

(Compared to over 300 full design institutes and over 3000

supporting institutes in China at present)
