    3.1 Measurement Method of Electrical System

    1. Code E-01 : Substation and Equipment

    1.1 Definition

    This work item is defined as the installation works of substation and equipment in

    accordance with the drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers instruction

    manual at the Site, including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at the

    Contractor designated locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting, assembling,

    bolting, terminating, welding if necessary, alignment, inspection, calibration, test, pre-

    commissioning and assistance for commissioning/start-up and operational test.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of all parts /components/supports shipped separately for transportation

    Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required

    Installation and connection of vendor cable/wire, including supply of terminal lug, ifrequired

    Furnishing and installation of warning tape and sign board

    Test and inspection as per the project specification and inspection procedure

    Furnishing and installation of field fabricated steel support material shall not be includedin this work item, but shall be included in Code E-25.

    Further details of this work item are listed below. But all other associated activities

    required until issuance of Provisional Turnover Certificate shall also be included in the

    scope of this work item.

    Receiving, storing and maintaining the Contractor supplied materials

    Material transportation from/to the Contractors warehouse and laydown areas, andinstallation locations

    Mechanical and electrical connections between shipping sections, including bus and

    ground joints

    Preparation of work plans and procedures and submission for the Contractors approvalprior to starting the work (work procedure, construction method statement,

    methodology, inspection/test plan and procedure, etc.)

    Removal of existing obstacles to installation work and restoration work uponcompletion thereof. Reinforcement or protection work for existing facilities, as required

    by the Contractor

    Preassembling work prior to the commencement of the installation work, as necessary

    Removal of reinforcing or protection materials used for the transportation or installationof equipment, as necessary

    The following works related to the installation of the work item on concretefoundation :

    Checking anchor bolts and foundation with respect to location, size, level, etc.

    Chipping concrete foundation Setting mortar pads and liner plates

    Adjusting anchor bolts

    Setting and grouting box-out anchor bolts

    Mortar grouting and curing

    Welding washers and/or liner plates, as required by technical specifications and/ordrawings

    Opening and re-closing manholes and/or handholes for cleaning and inspection

    Rust prevention during the construction work and timely removal of such rust andprevention materials, if any

    Cleaning equipment inside / outside as required Application of necessary anti-seizing solvent/compound/paste for bolts and nuts

    Application of specified compound/paste to gaskets

    Application of touch-up paint

    Preparation and submission of inspection/test record as per inspection/test plan

    All other work, as required by the drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers

    instruction manual

    Site cleaning the work place

    1.2 Measurement method and unit of quantities

    1.2.1 General

    The Subcontractor Prices shall not be adjusted for the differences in installation method,

    size, electrical rating, weight, type of equipment and elevation/location of working places,

    etc.

    1.2.2 Measurement method and unit of quantities

    The quantities shall be measured by number of complete set of equipment, where specified

    by SET, and by length of net installed cable excluding any waste or allowance, where

    specified by M.

    Any accessories, components and parts will not be separately measured.

    Furnishing and installation of Scaffolding should not be measured separately, but deemed

    measured and included in the unit price of this work.

    No measurement shall be made for any rework.

    The quantities measured as per 1.2.2 above shall be broken down into the following

    activities with the relevant factor for progress measurement and to calculate monthly

    progress payment thereof.

    Completion of installation and alignment : 80 %

    Submission of inspection and test record : 15 %

    Completion of Energization : 5 %

    2. Code E-02 : Transformer

    2.1 Definition

    This work item is defined as the installation works of transformers in accordance with the

    drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers instruction manual at the Site,

    including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at the Contractor designated

    locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting, assembling, bolting, terminating,

    welding if necessary, alignment, inspection, calibration, test, pre-commissioning and

    assistance for commissioning/start-up and operational test.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of all parts /components/supports shipped separately for transportation Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required

    Installation and connection of vendor cable/wire, including supply of terminal lug ifrequired

    Installation of transformer oil including purification and testing of the oil

    Furnishing and installation of warning tape and sign board

    Test and inspection as per the project specification and inspection procedure

    Furnishing and installation of field fabricated steel support material shall not be included

    in this work item, but shall be included in Code E-25.

    Further details of this work item are listed below. But all other associated activities

    panels in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers

    instruction manual at the Site, including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at

    the Contractor designated locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting,

    assembling, bolting, welding if necessary, alignment, inspection, calibration, test, pre-

    commissioning and assistance for commissioning/start-up and operational test.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of all parts /components shipped separately for transportation Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required

    4.1 Definition

    This work item is defined as the installation works of bus duct in accordance with the

    drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers instruction manual at the Site,

    including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at the Contractor designated

    locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting, assembling, laying, bolting, welding

    if necessary, alignment, terminating, inspection, test, pre-commissioning and assistance for

    commissioning/start-up and operational test.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of all parts /components/supports shipped separately for transportation Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required

    Furnishing of welding rod and welding consumables, if required

    Test and inspection as per the project specification and inspection procedure

    Furnishing and installation of field fabricated steel support material shall not be included

    in this work item, but shall be included in Code E-25.

    bolting, welding if necessary, alignment, terminating, calibration, inspection, test, pre-

    6.1 Definition

    This work item is defined as the installation works of DC/AC and UPS system equipment

    in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers instruction

    manual at the Site, including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at the

    Contractor designated locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting, assembling,

    bolting, welding if necessary, alignment, terminating, calibration, inspection, test,

    precommissioning and assistance for commissioning/start-up and operational test.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of all parts /components/supports shipped separately for transportation Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required

    Installation and connection of vendor cable/wire/bus bar

    Installation of battery rack

    Installation of battery electrolyte

    7.1 Definition

    This work item is defined as the installation works of cable tray/rack/duct in accordance

    with the drawings, technical specifications and manufacturers instruction manual at the

    Site, including unloading of the Contractor supplied materials at the Contractor designated

    locations, site transportation, hauling, rigging, setting, assembling, laying, bolting, welding

    if necessary, alignment and inspection.

    This work item shall also include, but not limited, the following ;

    Installation of cable tray/rack/duct cover

    Installation of accessories and fittings including horizontal/vertical bend, tee, etc. Installation of grounding bonding jumper

    Furnishing and installation of sealing compound

    Furnishing and installation of cable tray rack/duct marker

    Furnishing and installation of anchor bolt/bolt/nut/washer, if required
