The diverse capital of Malaysia blends colonial, Islamic and modern architecture, from the soaring Petronas Towers to the beautiful Masjid Jamek, once Kuala Lumpur’s main mosque. Located on the tip of Oman’s Musandam peninsula, an enclave separated from the rest of the country, Khusab has been described as the “Norway of Arabia.” Its many beautiful fjord-like inlets and stark landscapes created by geologic shifting

are striking, and the clear, calm waters are home to dolphins, which can be often be spotted interacting with boats. This quiet enclave is also home to Khasab Castle, a small fort where you can learn about the history of the area and local traditions (entrance fees not included).

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER

Tour Guide:

Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:

An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction

once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES

Indonesia:

Split by the equator, indonesia has an almost entirely tropical climate, with the coastal plains averaging 28°C.

Maldives:

In March, temperatures in the Maldives rise to an average maximum of 31°C – great for long days on the beach. Possible short bursts of rain offer relief from the hot temperatures. Visibility for diving and snorkelling is excellent

Seychelles:

The Seychelles’ climate is one which is always warm and does not reach extremes of heat or cold. The temperature rarely drops below 24°C or rises above 32°C.

Oman:

In Oman, the climate is tropical desert almost everywhere, with some summer rains in both the northern and southern mountain areas. Around the coastal fringe of Oman - The Gulf of Oman, the temperatures for swimming are perfect.

United Arab Emrites:

The climate of Dubai, the most populous of the United Arab Emirates, is subtropical desert, with very mild or pleasantly warm winters. Every so often, from December to February, and more rarely in March, there can be some cool days.

Thailand:

Phuket has a tropical climate. Thanks to its position in the Andaman Sea, the weather is mostly mild with a dry season between December and March. There

Singapore:

Due to its geographical location and maritime exposure, Singapore’s climate is characterised by high humidity and abundant rainfall. The average temperature is between 25°C and 31°C. Thunderstorms occur on 40% of all days. January is the coolest month.

A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It’s also quite common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate on your arrival back home.

It is your responsibility to check with your doctor well in advance of leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you’ll be

visiting.

Gratuities / Tipping:

Cruise

Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for the services of the cruise staff throughout the cruise component of this tour. Norwegian Cruise Line is an internationally registered company & operates to US & European standards, both of which have an economy driven by a gratuities culture. Gratuities are expected on your cruise and will be charged to your onboard account at $429 AUD per person for the cruise. If you have any questions in regards to the gratuities on your cruise please speak to the guest services staff onboard the ship.

Shopping:

Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts.

Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

A tourist visa is granted upon arrival to Thailand, UAE and the Maldives, a tourist visa is not required for Oman if entering and exiting via cruise ship and no visa is required for Indonesia, Singapore, Seychelles and Malaysia if travelling on an Australian passport

· 2nd Change - $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Subsequent changes - $250.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Changes within 30 days of departure $350.00 person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.
