The jewel in the crown are the majestic Rocky Mountains; beautiful snow-capped sculptures lined by forests of fir, spruce and pine, dotted with lakes, bordered by rivers and inhabited by prolific wildlife who will often pop out to greet you by the side of the road.

Experiencing such landscapes is breathtaking, however not only do the natural wonders delight, but spectacular cities also provide many opportunities to explore. Vancouver is a vibrant city that is the perfect blend of nature and cityscape. Set on a harbour with a backdrop of verdant mountains, it is the ideal scene for exploring the variety of sights, tastes and sounds the city has to offer.

Victoria, located on Vancouver Island is one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, including First Nations settlements reaching back millennia. It is a rich and historic town with an abundance of traditional architecture, deep cultural background, as well as being home to the world renowned Butchart Gardens.

In contrast, Whistler is a quaint alpine village with soaring mountains, renowned bear spotting, rich First

Nations culture and superb restaurants. Despite being near the coast, the mountains are no less dramatic than the Rockies and the pedestrian village is perfect for exploring on foot.

The magnificent Rockies speak for themselves. Naturally spectacular, they are a stunning sight. The national parks of Banff and Jasper with the towns of the same name afford ample opportunity to soak up and explore this wonder of nature. Both are typical mountain towns that allow you to get to know the friendly people, spot iconic wildlife and indulge in the majestic mountain scenery.

The piece de resistance is the “Diamond in the Wilderness” Lake Louise, a picture

perfect lake in one of the most beautiful and dramatic settings in the world. Lesser known, but equally as remarkable is Emerald Lake. Named for the bright green colour of its water, it too, is a jewel surrounded by staggering peaks.
