IGNITE 2018
Men, it’s slowly creeping up on us…a time of great fellowship, of praising
and worshipping our Lord. The original 20 discounted tickets are sold out.
Tickets through Dec. 29th
are $56.00. After that, the price will most likely go
up again for the tickets. If you need someone to purchase the ticket(s) for
you, just let Bill Girard know. We will be staying at our usual hotel this year
and the price is $65.00 per man (2 double beds/ $130.00 per room)…add
the $12.00 Chick-Fil-a box lunch and for $133.00, you can secure your
event ticket, Saturday lunch and lodging. Ladies - this makes a great
Christmas gift! Also, I encourage bringing your sons, neighbors and friends.
For more information, please contact Bill Girard @ 757-353-5461. Note that
we increased the number of rooms to a total of 30. There are only 15
rooms left. They are not reserved until full payment is received. Also, this
offer has been extended to the Gloucester Men’s Ministry, so these rooms
will sell out soon. Please don’t wait!
*** Payment for the room and/or ticket must be done directly to Bill
Girard, this being so the room/ticket will immediately be reserved. We
are expecting to sell out quickly. Checks should be made out to
“Petsworth Baptist Church”.
IMPORTANT- CHURCH CALENDAR CHANGE
We have now moved to an electronic calendar, which can be
found on the church website, the church phone app, and if
need be, you can contact our church secretary Joyce Blocker
if you have any questions about events taking place at
Petsworth. All event requests must go through Joyce before
being added to the calendar, so that she can verify
availability of the resources you are looking to reserve.
These resources include any part of the facility here at
Petsworth, such as the sanctuary, the Youth Building, the
conference room, etc. This also includes reserving the
Van(s) for trips or events. Ministry Leaders, please take a
moment to verify the accuracy of the calendar for your
ministry as of today... thanks!
Want the best seat on Sunday mornings? Get involved
with the audio or the video ministry here at Petsworth
Baptist Church. In a short period of time, you could be
working on the video or sound systems. There is no
need to be an expert to join. We will train you! This
gives you a chance to be a part of the ministry and not
have to be on the podium.
Contact Don Gough ([email protected]) for audio or Bill
Girard ([email protected]) for video or drop by the
booth after a service for more information
If you ordered and paid for a poinsettia, please take the flower(s) home
with you today after the service. If you still haven’t paid for your
flower(s), please do so as soon as possible. Checks should be made out to
Petsworth Baptist Church and you can drop it off at office or mail it.

“There is only one Man whom we can trust to follow. That Man is Jesus Christ. Why is He different from any other person? Why do I
refuse to follow other people, and yet follow this Man? Of no other person, can it be said, ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.’ (John 1:1) ‘And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’ (John 1:14). Of no other person from Adam to
now can it be said, ‘His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the
Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.’ (Isaiah 9:6). Of no other can this be said . . .”
