The Faber Vertical blind is a highly versatile solar shading system, combining flexible and efficient sun screening with many types of operation and application options. The direction and amount of incoming light can be precisely controlled by gradually turning the louvres, achieved to the finest degree by means of the unique carrier design in the well proven head rail system. This design also enables the louvres to be smoothly drawn back with the minimum effort, even on the largest window and they can be stacked to one side, equally split on both sides or drawn to the centre of the blind to suit the individual requirements of each installation. The blind has a narrow, unobtrusive head rail that enables it to blend into the environment, and which is supplied in four popular colours to co-ordinate with the standard colours of window frames. There are many operation options for Faber Vertical Blinds, including manual mono-control and electric operation. In addition, the unique principle behind the head rail construction enables it to be bent so blinds can be produced for special window shapes ranging from the many styles of bay window to arched openings. There is a wide range of standard and performance, flame retardant fabrics available in the programme including blackout, dim-out, solar reflective and screen fabrics for ultimate control of both light and solar gain. Louvres can be supplied in either 89 or 127 mm widths and 50 mm aluminium louvres are also available for specialist or high tech applications. Applications Office environments, reception areas, hotels, restaurants, banks and shops Large standard glazed windows, patio doors and wide areas of glazing. Applications where a combination of sunscreening and a view outside is required Especially suitable for bay windows, vertically and horizontally curved windows, sloping top windows and those where the louvres are cut to different lengths. Discreet extruded aluminium head rail 25 x 40mm with narrow opening underneath thathelps to conceal the internal components.Head rail available in four colours to RAL specifications: white RAL 9016, brown RAL8077, black RAL 9005 and natural anodised aluminium to EG/EV1. The design of the headrail enables it to be bent to suit many shapes ofwindow such as arches and angular bay windows, so a single blind with one control canbe used to cover this type of window opening

A special recess mounting profile is availablefor installing rails flush with suspended or softceilings. The profile can be combined with amotor unit.

Stainless steel spacer links for strength anddurability. The spacer link system is based onthe principle of equal spacings for a neatermore uniform appearance.

Shaft support keeps the travelling cord in placein the head rail and ensures that even on largeinstallations the mechanism is kept hidden.

Invisible click-in brackets available with noexposed parts at the front of the head rail for acleaner finish to the installation. Face fixingbrackets provided with plastic covers for aneat finishing touch.

Unique push-fit louvre hanger system enablesthe louvres to be easily removed for cleaningand avoids damage to the headrail if the louvres are accidentally pulled.

High quality, transparent louvre hooks thatblend with the fabric of the blind. They can beeasily replaced without the necessity to dismantle the track.

Automatic louvre re-alignment for durabilityand ease of operation. If individual louvresbecome out of line they are easily re-alignedby tilting the blind fully in each direction.

‘Easy-turn’ comfort tilt option for chain tilt/corddraw operation. This device prevents the ballchain and cord from twisting and becomingentangled by means of an upper and lowereasy tilt connector, which enables the blind tobe tilted and drawn with the minimum of effort.

Louvre stack release catch allows easy accessfor window cleaning. There is a release catch in the stacking end of the track between theend cap and first louvre which when pressedslightly upwards enables the stack to bemoved away from the end.

Multiple control options are available to suitmost applications. These are tilt and travelling wand, chain tilt/cord draw, wandtilt/cord draw, mono-chain, and electric operation with a number of control options (fordetails on electric options, please refer toseparate data sheet). Manual controls aresupplied on the right as standard, but LH controls are available if required.

Neat efficient gearbox for mono control blindsoperated by means of single easy to use continuous loop chain for both tilting anddrawing back the louvres. The 3.8Ø x 9mmpitch chain is smooth to operate with minimalnoise and is supplied in colours to match thehead rail. The clutch has been designed toclick when the blind has reached the end of itsoperation cycle to act as a audible warning tothe end-user to prevent damage from heavyhandling.

Chain tilt/cord draw option. The single gearchain wheel tiltor is also available as a 4:1 gearratio version for extra smooth operation –particularly suitable for use with heavy PVC

and screen fabrics. Chain and cord areavailable in colours to match the head rail.

Wand tilt/cord draw option with an acrylicwand providing a simple, tangle-free systemfor tilting the louvres. The draw cord and knobon the wand are colour co-ordinated to theheadrail.

Single tilt and travelling wand control isavailable as an alternative for simple, manualoperation. The single wand tilts the louvresand draws them back across the blind. Thissystem is particularly suitable for installationswhere child safety is critical and trailingcords/chains could be a hazard.

Neat cord weight, colour co-ordinated to thecord and head rail, keeps the draw cord hanging tidily and under tension.

Fabrics are available in a wide range of colours and compositions to suit all functionaland aesthetic requirements. The fabrics are allflame retardant and the choice includes polyester, fibreglass, blackout, dim-out, screenand solar reflective options.
