The area benefits from excellent public transport links from four London Underground Stations (East Acton, West Acton, North Acton and Acton Town) providing direct links to Central London and Heathrow via the Piccadilly, District and Central underground lines.

Acton Central provides an additional direct Overland rail link with Richmond to the south and Euston to the north.

Acton is set to further benefit from the introduction of Crossrail (Elizabeth Line), with services due to commence in 2018. Crossrail will provide a new high speed train services across London, including direct links to Heathrow Airport, Maidenhead, and Reading.

Officers have resolved to grant planning permission under delegated powers, subject to completion of the corresponding S106 agreement. The planning application submitted to the London Borough of Ealing (reference 163394FUL) is for: Construction of a part five, part single-storey building with basement for eleven residential self-contained units (2 x one-bed, 7 x two-beds and 2 x three-beds) including associated cycle storage, refuse and amenity space (following demolition of existing buildings on site)

Whilst no affordable housing is proposed, residents of the new development would be prevented from applying for local parking permits. The draft s106 Agreement will also require financial contributions totalling £129,850.

The development is subject to Mayoral CIL requirements and the estimated liability including indexation is £29,825.
