EWA conference: Water Management in Cold Climate – 2016

Invitation to the WMCC-2016

We are very pleased to invite all water professionals to the first EWA specialized conference on Water management challenges in cold climates. Most of the water technologies are developed without considering the special needs of cold climate conditions. Adopted solutions and further developments are definitely necessary, especially in view of the Climate Change impacts. The water bodies in cold climate must be protected. Water has no boundaries and pollution must be avoided, wherever possible. This conference will bring experts together with a vast experience in order to exchange knowledge, presents solutions and ideas and elaborate on lessons learned in this field.

The EWA conference will be held back-to-back with the 14th IWA biennial conference on Particle separation. We are pleased to see the two major organisations in our field- the IWA and EWA - collaborating at these two conferences.

Powered by nature, Norway in summer is an exciting venue. The IWA conference coincides with the “midsummer night” and summer solstice, a festival celebrated throughout Northern Europe. The EWA conference will take place in magnificent and mystical Spitsbergen, an island between Norway and the North Pole with a unique and extreme surrounding of arctic nature unparalleled to anywhere else.

We look forward to meet you in Norway, where scientific knowledge will be shared and transformed into solutions that meet tomorrow’s challenges in our field. With a unique nature surrounding conferences, we are confident that you will associate the fruitful discussions and learnings of the conferences with unforgettable memories of Norway.
