CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION This conference focuses on many challenges involving the clinical care of children. Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on educational needs determined from identified professional practice gaps, derived from past years conference evaluations. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

TARGET AUDIENCEThis conference is designed for pediatric physicians, resident physicians, registered nurses, advanced practice professionals, medical students, and public health professionals with clinical relevant information to advance practitioners’ competence and provide them with effective use of targeted skills so that they may develop strategies to apply the knowledge, skills and judgement of the information presented in the educational activity in their practice.

OBJECTIVESThe program is designed to promote best practice and provide a comprehensive review of current clinical challenges in selected pediatric sub-specialties.

EDUCATIONAL METHODSThis live activity has been designed with didactic lectures supplemented with clinical vignettes, audio visual presentations, direct discussion and case presentation. Audience participation is encouraged throughout the course.

COURSE SYLLABUSEach registrant will receive a link to access session materials. The session materials will be available for download approximately two weeks prior to the conference. The syllabus will be available for downloading from July 15, 2019 through August 9, 2019. Registered participants will receive an email link on July 15, 2019 to allow review and download of the syllabus. Upon request, a printed syllabus may be purchased for a fee of $30.00 or a USB Flash Drive for a fee of $10.00.

ATTENDEE REQUIREMENTSAt the conclusion of attending this conference, participants are entitled to a certificate of credit which will be available online. Successful completion of this activity is determined by attending this live activity and completing online evaluation. Each participant should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
