Sunday 27 May 2012 Today’s Services If you are new or visiting, we hope you feel at home. If you require help, do speak to one of the Stewards in the foyer. Feel free to fill in a welcome card and pick up a guide from the welcome desk if you would like to get involved or join a Network. EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we host a student network every Thursday night at 7.30pm during term time. REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can. GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. Go to www.stgeorgesleeds.org.uk. 1pm, today Sun 27 May, Otley Chevin A few of us are going to Otley Chevin; we hope you can join us. We’ll be meeting with packed lunches (for a picnic, or lunch in the car if it’s wet!) at the car park opposite the Rambler’s Tea Room (on East Chevin Road/Otley Old Road), followed by a walk and hopefully some stuff the kids will enjoy.

The church office will be closed on bank holidays Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 June.

Fri 15-17 June, Jonas Centre (Booking deadline 3 June) Over the weekend we will be taking part in Bible studies, talks and worship, as well as different activities! This weekend hopes to serve as a way to inspire and equip the women in our church, and will be a wonderful opportunity for us all to grow closer to one another in community. £65/£50. Please pick up a flyer from the foyer and return the stub and payment to the church office by 3 June.

1pm, Mon 4 June, Church Richard Fox and Rachael Don-Duncan invite the whole church family to celebrate their marriage. There will be refreshments served after the ceremony, and everyone is welcome to join.

4.15-6.45pm, Wed 6 June, Church Centre If you are 7-11 years old, come and join us for food, fun, games and a movie in the half term, for free! Contact Izzy for a permission slip.

7.30-9.30pm, Wed 6 June, Community Room An event to help international students think about the issues they will face when they return, and to help church members see how they can impact the nations through international students ministry. Please come along - it will be a fantastic opportunity to prepare yourselves for going home. It is also the launch event for the Living for Jesus at Home course, a 4 week course helping you think about how to live for Jesus when you return home. [email protected]
