It was decided at the AIFF executive committee meeting presided by president Praful Pa- tel in the Capital on Friday. Currently it is a 14-team competition. However, the se- lection criteria of the teams will be decided later, the AIFF sec- retary said. The relegation of two teams and the promotion of two from the 2nd division will stay. It was also decided that play- ers selected to the national team will not be allowed to play in Santosh Trophy. The tourna- ment has come under fire from national coach Bob Houghton as well as a few national team players as it imposes extra pres- sure on them. T h e d e c i s i o n s : 1. All affiliated state associations to con- form their statutes in line with FIFA, AFC & AIFF constitution by Dec 2010. 2. To have at least two dedicated venues for the AIFF to conduct competitions. 3.
