Bubblers – Just a reminder, as the current health advice is to avoid drinking water from bubblers, our

school bubblers are out of action. Please encourage your children to bring a water bottle from home

every day.

School Canteen – Our wonderful canteen supervisor Rhonda Wright has been very busy growing herbs and salad to use in the school lunches. We really are lucky to have such a health conscious, dedicated person looking after the food our children eat.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE – It’s NOT ok to stay away

All children have the Right to an Education. Regular School attendance lets students develop a sense of belonging and builds important coping and friendship skills. Confident children are less likely to engage in anti-social behaviour. When students miss out on basic skills in the early years of school they may have learning problems in later years. In the long run, unsatisfactory attendance may affect the opportunities available to your child. Parents are required by law to ensure all children from 6 to 17 year olds are enrolled at and regularly attend school or are registered with the Office of the Board of Studies NSW for home schooling. Be on time. Be at school. That’s the rule!

Pedestrian Safety

Message

Never call to your children from across a road – teach them to wait until you cross and come to them.

Doug-Dennis and the Flyaway Fib – Darren Farrell

Darren Farrell’s Doug-Dennis and the Flyaway Fib is an extremely entertaining text, brought to life by vibrant colourful illustrations and humorous text. No matter the age of the reader, this text will always put a smile on your dial, while learning the moral of the story.

On their way into see the performances, Doug-Dennis chooses to buy a chocolate bar, while Ben-Bobby selects a tub of popcorn. While the performance begins Ben-Bobby quickly realises that his tub of popcorn has suddenly disappeared. Worrying about who ate the popcorn, Ben-Bobby asks Doug-Dennis whether he knows who ate it, however, Doug-Dennis does something unexpected, he tells a fib! As the fib begins to grow in size, Doug-Dennis quickly gets carried away into space! While floating around, Doug-Dennis sees something few people have seen before!
