THE Hal Magnie BAND has been swinging for almost 60 years, the Central Valley’s longest running Big Band. The Magnie Band has backed up some of the biggest names in music, including Ben Vereen, Vikki Carr, Rosemary Clooney, Roger Daltrey and the Who, Isaac Hayes, Lou Rawls, Melissa Manchester, and The Temptations, just to name a few. The Magnie Band plays almost all original arrangements by the late Al Harkins, who played piano in the group for over 50 years. The band is comprised of some of the Central Valley’s finest musicians, including drummer Joe Lizama, who also plays drums for Johnny Mathis. From Swing to Latin, Bossa Nova to Rock and Roll, the Hal Magnie Band continues to entertain, and hopes to go another 60 years.

TRIBUTE TO

Jerry VenturiTalented accordionists will entertain you with accordion solos and more, in honor of Jerry Venturi, one of Madera’s musical legends. This portion of the entertainment has been organized by Brad Clarke, Jerry’s son-in-law. Through the efforts of Jerry’s daughter Andrea, and her husband Brad, the Venturi House of Music continues to be a valuable resource in the Valley for music instruction, musical instruments, and sharing the genuine love of music throughout the community.

neon roSe is a strong vocal group/band, whose roots are deep into classic rock – “oldies” – and country rock. The band covers some great musical artists such as the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Alabama, Hollies, Bee Gees, Dion, Patsy Cline, America, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Exile, Doobies, Lynyrd Skynyrd ... and the list goes on. The group’s blend of male and female voices give Neon Rose it’s unique sound. The formation of the band began nearly four years ago, with the idea of helping community organizations with their fundraising events by donating time and talent. After hundreds of hours of perfecting it’s sound, the group is ready to rock – so come on out and hear/see for yourself. The group is comprised of Ev Burns, Jeff Burns, Cheryl Burns, Vicki Pratt, Ronnie Thompson, and Dwayne Burns.
