and transformed into a new – better entity beyond what we ever thought, and the way
HR management has changed in its way of operations , that we never foresaw in the past.
The Industrial Revolution and HR Transformation in particular, have set a precedent by
inculcating newer technologies vis-à-vis automation and characterized by a fusion of
technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres,
collectively known as cyber-physical systems is marked by emerging technology
breakthroughs in a number of fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, cognitive
computing, decentralized consensus and additive manufacturing. The HR Transformation

participants alike.

The pace of change in the past decade has been phenomenal what with newer and advanced digital technologies driving sweeping transformations throughout businesses across a wide spectrum industries and therefore, of is going to be the next decade (2020-'30) the era of digital workforce that would in turn bring about a quantum transformation in the world of work and how HR would need to re - define the way it functions. Predictions that that are being drawn up profess that, ~ 25 percent of the jobs will be totally replaced by either robots or software in the next decade and Virtual working from will be more of a reality than a mere dream. A question that would arise in the minds of most people -- who would really need HR in the new era!
Researchers are of the view that the concept of AI would be a hard reality by revealing that most companies today are dwelling upon how the implications of the amalgamation of AI with HR is going to impact the day-to-day responsibilities of HR as a whole.
It must be borne in minds that AI is not here to steal jobs of HR department – instead the development of AI would be with an aim to extend the existing capabilities of human beings.
AI would in simple terms help get the best from HR by saving precious time of all employees, reduce mediocre and mundane tasks which in turn will help save human energy and effort. This time and energy saved can be utilized to handle the strategic and value - added tasks more efficiently.
The real challenge for the forthcoming decade lies in augmenting the next-gen HR smart devises to simplify HR processes in a variety of functional tasks including talent sourcing, on boarding, engagement, learning and development, performance management, reward management and of the like.
