Dear Friends,

What comes to mind when you mention the word “Heroism?” For us here at Hospice Care Network it is our devoted employees, volunteers, families and patients. During a time when everyone was told to shut their doors, we opened ours at The Mary Ann Tully Hospice Inn. Our staff selflessly started caring for and being the frontline for COVID-19 patients in addition to its day-to-day services. Hospice Care Network’s dedicated team and clinicians agreed that it was the right step to take no matter the fear or unknown.

It is Hospice Care Network’s lifelong commitment to be there for those who need it; this pandemic only made us stronger as we each individually rose to new heights. Our staff via telephone or video conferencing continuously provides the guidance and support families need to navigate these difficult times. We are the voice on the phone - consoling, comforting, reassuring and offering our support and resources.

This year it only seems fitting that the proceeds from the 29th Annual Tully Golf Outing will be used to support Hospice Care Network’s Fay J. Lindner Foundation Hope and Healing Centers. These centers are located in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens, caring for people of all ages while they try to cope during the bereavement period. Children and adults find a safe place to express their grief and sorrow and leave feeling hopeful about life. This program is not funded by Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance companies and solely relies on grants, Foundations, donations from individuals and organizations and special events throughout the year to keep this program thriving. Because of the pandemic most fundraisers were cancelled, but as of now, our un-wavering Tully Golf Classic remains!

When the world stood still our staff kept moving. Please honor them and their superior work by supporting the 29th Annual Tully Golf Outing. We stand TOGETHER, UNITED and will continue to be STRONGER than before.
