Feel free to fill in a welcome card and pick up a guide from the welcome desk if you would like to get involved or join a Network. EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. Thu 10 May, Caring for Life Restaurant, Cookridge Christian charity Caring For Life are laying on a 4-course meal for only £19.99 per person. This is a lovely friendly venue that aims to share the love of Jesus with all in their care. At the Annual Church Meeting on Wednesday, Andy Eaves, Mike Jenkins, Che Seabourne and Jane Woodhead were elect-ed to the PCC. Judith Jackson and Michelle Plant were elected to the Deanery Synod. Please pray for all those who serve on the Council.

Sat 12 May, Ripon Cathedral, 5.30pm Jonathan has been invited by the Bishop to become an Honor-ary Canon of Ripon Cathedral, and will be inducted at their Evensong service. This is a way of thanking both Jonathan and St George’s for the part we play in the life of the Diocese, one of the ways in which we carry out our Sharing Life/Loving Leeds ministry. Everyone is welcome to attend the service, but please be seated by 5.20pm.

Today Church Centre 5:30pm-6.30pm & 8pm-9pm. Thank you for all the clothes donated. There will be a ticket system in place, any donated clothes will be worth a number of tickets that can be swapped for other clothes. For those who don’t bring items to swap there will be tickets available for pur-chase on the night with pro-ceeds going to the Crypt and Spacious Places. It would be great to see you there.

Thurs 19 July, Church Centre Rob Hinton (Business community chaplain) and some of our mis-sion partners will be joining us. We will also be commissioning the Romania Team and sharing a delicious meal together. Further details and tickets coming soon.

Sat May 12, Church Centre, 6.30pm Please help St. George's Mission Trip raise money for the Bethle-hem Centre in Romania. Come along to this Movie Night for cakes, milkshakes and lots of films. Tickets cost £5 for individ-uals and £10 for families and are now available. Contact Emi or Rosie for more details.

With a vast majority of The City of Leeds primary school chil-dren having English as their second language, they are in need of volunteers to come into the school and do one to one readings with individual chil-dren. Training will be provided. Anyone willing to help please contact Joanna.

Farrell Polson, our caretaker, is retiring on 16 May. He has served both the Church and the Crypt faithfully for the last 13+ years, firstly as a volunteer, then as church caretaker. He has worked quietly and conscien-tiously, maintaining the fabric of the church, our houses and preparing the church for events. We would like to mark his retirement with a gift. If you would like to contribute, please put your donation in an enve-lope marked Farrell Polson and put in the offertory bags or give to a member of staff.
