2C.4.1 Section A-A Post office Street

Designed Future Character

• Post Office Street will be a tree-lined street with ground floor retail uses, providing a high quality pedestrian environment.

• The footpath on the eastern side will be widened for outdoor dining and to improve access to Robert Pymble Park.

• The street will be two way with on-street parking to the western edge and a central landscaped median.

• Stormwater management system to be incorporated into the new street/footpath design where possible.

• Special character street: Reinforce the historic and civic significance of the street and the link with Robert Pymble Park through formal street planting and the use of banners and flagpoles.

• Streetscape will consist of high quality paving, lighting and furniture.
