Keynote: Rachel Mathews I was raised in the suburbs of Huntsville, the youngest of three. My husband and I met there in high school, but did not start dating until we were at different colleges, Alabama and Auburn. I followed in the family tradition and started school in Tuscaloosa. During my years at the University of Alabama I was involved in the UKirk campus ministry and studied electrical engineering. I worked an engineering job for a year, then after my husband, Wesley, graduated from Auburn, we got married and moved to Georgia so he could accept a job as an engineer for Georgia Power. While contemplating applying for a new job in Georgia, I felt a call to seminary. I enjoy learning, growing food, and hiking. I am looking forward to meeting and growing with all of you at the children’s retreat in November! PRESBYTERY OF SHEPPARDS & LAPSLEY All schools are closed Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11, 2016. I followed in the family tradition and started school in Tuscaloosa. During my years at the University of Alabama I was involved in the UKirk campus ministry and studied electrical engineering. I worked an engineering job for a year, then after my husband, Wesley, graduated from Auburn, we got married and moved to
