My favorite place

My favorite place is my city Świdnica. We have two museums in

Świdnica. We have a railway station in Świdnica. There is an ice-rink

in Świdnica. We also have a swimming pool. There is amazing

landscape nearby the city and we have three rivers in Świdnica.

My favorite place in the region is Świdnica. Town Hall is beautiful.

The original town Hall built in the Gothic style was a two-storey

building remodeling from the trade house in 1291. The Tower of the

Town Hall burned down in the fire in 1393 and again in 1528. The

Town hall was rebuilt in the years 1548- 1555. The building survived

until 1716 when another fire destroyed it. The people of Świdnica

rebuilt it again to be the symbol of the city. The Town Hall survived

the II World War in good condition. In 1967 the Town Hall collapsed

because of incompetent repairs. The reconstruction of the city hall

started in 2010 and was finished in 2012.

My favorite place is Central park in Świdnica. Świdnica is a beautiful

city. There are many parks here. It is worth to see the central park. We

have also beautiful Cathedra and Church of Peace. There is Museum

of Trade in the city centre and new department store.

My favorite place in Świdnica is Church of Peace. It is one of three

churches in the region. There two more churches one in Gorzów and

one in Jawor. The Church exists from 1657. It is one of the most

popular sightseeing spots in the region. There are many concerts

organised in the Church of Peace. It is protestant church.

The most beautiful place in Świdnica is the Cathedral.

It is Gothic Cathedral with the highest tower in the Silesian region and

the 5th in Poland in terms of height. The baroque interior originated at

the turn of 17th and 18th century. Thirty years later the tower that was

reconstructed was covered with copper sheet helmet. It reached 103

metres height. In 1644 the Jesuits took charge of the church. They

proceeded to reform the Baroque interior simultaniously liquidating

former Gothic ecclesiastic equipment. The prevailing part of the

interior decoration is ascribed to Jan Riedel. His masterpiece is high

altar completed in 1694.

My favorite place is Central Park in Świdnica. There are many trees

and bushes. There are slides and swings. There is river and small

bridge. Children play in the playground. We have many parks in

Świdnica. Central park is the most beautiful.
