On June 26, 2021, IPSC employees and families set out on a quest to get out of the house and experience life away from home by attending the IPSC 2021 Summer Party at Lagoon.

Covid restriction were at a minimal, so it made the day even better. IPSC employees, families, and friends enjoyed the day of fun riding rides, eating good food, and being with friends.

The lines were long, but depending on the ride, the wait was worth it. The day was a little hot at times, but the clouds took pity on us and hid the sun for a bit. The waterpark and water rides were a favorite during the hottest points of the day.

The EAO and employees would like to thank the Staff of IPSC for sponsoring this event. This party has been a highlight of working for IPSC. We would like to also thank those who worked the weekend of the party and kept everything going at IPSC.

RETIREES

Tony Cowley grew up in Meadow, Utah, and graduated from Millard High School in

1977. He worked summers for the U.S. Forest Service on various crews to earn college

money. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1981. After

graduation, he spent time working at home while attending to his father who was termi-

nally ill. In 1982 his mother found a one time only advertisement in the local newspaper,

inviting people to apply for the very first group of generating station trainees at IPP.

Tony submitted his resume and took the test in October 1982. He was hired on March 1,

1983. After training for six months, he joined the first I&C group. He remained in I&C for the rest of his ca-

reer. You may have noticed him driving his trusty diesel Rabbit that he bought new in May 1983. He says,

“It has been with me longer than most wives.”

Tony plans to spend his retirement doing more of the things he loves. His hobbies include gardening, wood-

working, metalworking, and tinkering with old cars and equipment. He likes to explore and has traveled

quite extensively. He hopes to be able to do more traveling when the COVID Pandemic ends. Good luck, T-

Bone!

New Contractor

Kolby Andersen is a lifelong resident of Nephi, Utah, and enjoys the rural

lifestyle. He graduated from Juab High School and served an LDS mission to

the Philippines. Upon returning, he married his wife Camrie and they have

three young children who keep them very busy. He enjoys spending time out-

doors and being with his family.

He was fortunate enough to work alongside his father in the construction

business for several years. He later went back to school to obtain his nursing

degree. He graduated from Weber State University with his Bachelors in

Nursing and has since been employed at Timpa-

nogos Regional Hospital, working in the Intensive Care Unit. He has also worked as

a traveling nurse throughout the country.

He is excited for this opportunity to work at IPSC. His goals are to utilize his critical

care experience to promote health, growth, and improve quality of life. He is

grateful for nursing and the impact it has had on his life. The role of a nurse has

enabled him to become a more compassionate individual, develop a strong base,

and a transferable skill set to improve the well-being of those around him. He looks

forward to working with everyone here.
