State school founded in 2004. Its name is due to the modernist artist who painted the well-known gardens of Aranjuez during the first third of the XXth century.Preferential school for the attention to ASD students since 2015.First year as a Bilingual school in English .

480 students (boys and girls) aged 12 -18Our main features are: small groups, individualised teaching, European projects, use and promotion of ICTs mainly by a Virtual classroom platform

Our Town:

o Aranjuez a growing town with around 60,000 inhabitants in the centre of Spain (Castile) It is located 50 km south from Madrid

o It is one of the three Royal sites in Madrid Comunity.

o The historical town of Toledo is just 40 km away from Aranjuez

o Aranjuez was declared Cultural landscape- World Heritage by UNESCO in 2001.

o It has become a very cosmopolitant middle-size town.

What we do to promote diversity in our school…Coordination with primary schools to get information about the educational and familiar background of our students.

We make small and heterogeneous groups of students in the 1st years regarding to different social background , abilities and needs)

Individual support and advice by means of a family facilitator or the Department of Educational Guidance.

Celebration of festivals and cultural days promoting diversity. World Book Day, Carnival, cultural days, Parade againts Gender Violence, painting contest, comics in English contest…

Active citizenship at Lysingskolan

An anti-bullyingteam - for and with the students

A personal computer – they all get digital competence and are trained in critical thinking

Students’ council with meetings every month A hike when the students experience and learn about the environment and about team work

Some students travel to Krakow and visit concentration camps to learn from history and after that they participate in peer activities.

Ödeshög is a small Swedish village in the southern part of Sweden - 3000 inhabitants in the village and 6000 inhabitants in the whole community.

Ödeshög is situated between Stockholm and Gothenburg (250 km from Stockholm and 240 km from Gothenburg)

Ödeshög is very close to lake Vättern, the second largest lake in Sweden.

Just outside Ödeshög there is a birdlake called Tåkern. Every year many birdwatchers come and visit Tåkern.

There are several historical sights in the community. In Rök there is a famous rune stone from the 9th century - the longest rune inscription in the world, 760 runic characters.

Omberg – an ecopark and a small mountain situated 7 kilometers north of Ödeshög with a large variety of animals, flowers and berries..
