Zoom protects your information by meeting the HIPAA privacy and security standards that protect the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). The meeting is transmitted across the network and is protected using a unique Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a 256-bit key generated and securely distributed to all participants at the start of each session. Also, access is protected by verified email address and password. We want to start on time – please allow extra time to get online! In consideration of the whole group, please arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to get successfully connected. Someone will be on hand to help you if needed. This is especially important if this is your first- time using Zoom. Join by computer Please note that every computer is different. The screenshots displayed in these instructions might appear slightly different on your computer. If you have questions, please contact your class leader or appointed contact person. 1.     How to Join Secure Juniper Virtual Classes via Zoom

    Juniper classes are HIPAA secure Juniper virtual classes are hosted on Zoom’s secure platform. Zoom protects your information by meeting the HIPAA privacy and security standards that protect the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). The meeting is transmitted across the network and is protected using a unique Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a 256-bit key generated and securely distributed to all participants at the start of each session.     1. Close any program on your computer that uses your camera, for instance Skype. Ensure you are in a quiet, private space.

    If you don’t already have Zoom on your computer:

    3. Click download & run Zoom

    4. In the bottom left corner of your browser window the Zoom.pkg will download, click Zoom.pkg.

    5. You’ll be directed to the Zoom Installer, follow prompts for installation.

    6. After installation you’ll see a Zoom dialogue box with the option to “Join a Meeting” or “Sign In”,

    select “Join a Meeting” and enter meeting ID (nine-digit number at the end of the meeting link).

    If you already have Zoom on your computer: 8. A dialogue box will open prompting you to open Zoom, click open.

    9. Once Zoom has launched, a screen should pop up asking for your name. This will identify you during the meeting.

    10. You should now be part of the meeting. Click the blue button that says “Join Audio by Computer”.

    11. Your Juniper Class Zoom meeting window will now be open. In the bottom left corner of the meeting window select “Start Video” to enable your computer’s camera.

    Other Zoom Tips • Mute or unmute yourself using the mute button in the bottom left corner of the meeting window.

    • View Options can be changed in the top right corner of the Zoom meeting window o Speaker View: allows you to see the person speaking on Zoom

    o Gallery View: allows you to see all participants on Zoom

    There may be instances where your class leader will ask you to be in a certain view.

    Join by telephone for audio 1. First, dial the phone number provided in the Zoom email. 2. When prompted, dial the meeting ID number that is also provided. There is no participant ID,

    press # when prompted for participant ID. 3. Your phone mute and unmute yourself by selecting the mute button on your phone.
