The Spanish designer has moved passed À Moi, in order tocreate a different type of brand this season that focused onsophistication and maturity on various levels. With much of thecollection showcasing blush and slate tones, Rojas made herbrand’s debut with a fair share of hand-painted silks and handcrafted Italian leathers, adding a layer of artisanal quality to theclothing. As Rojas is a fourth-generation knitter, she willcontinue to weave or knit various pieces of clothing to continuethe familial tradition in her new, elegant brand.
During the Fall 2016 Fashion Show, NYC definitely hadan interesting designer to show them the versatilityand innovation of design. Queens-born designer andKith founder, Ronnie Fieg, wasted no time when itcame to crafting edgy, 90s looks, while also providingcollaborative collection for both men and women. Thissort of collaborative direction allowed fashion lovers towear his collection from everywhere to the beach tothe mountains. His collection was topped off withspecial performances by Ma$e, Ja Rule and A$APRocky to give his collection a special, in your face NYCkick.

Lyz Olko’s sophomore collection called Watch the
Skies was showcased in the grunge, intimate-like
Elvis Guesthouse in the East Village. Olko’s
performance also showed artistic innovation with
the performance by the girl band Pretty Sick. A huge
portion of the Watch the Skies’ aesthetic was
focused on space, sci-fi, NASA, and extraterrestrials,
which perfectly complemented the collection.
