FBCSanctuary Gather for our Tenebrae Service to hear and see witnesses from the Bible brought into the present to speak once again of the experiences they had with Jesus. Begin praying for these church members who are preparing themselves to enact Scripture from the Gospel of John: Bonnie Darkow, Greg Smith, Ashley Young, Kyle Loving, Amelia Vestre, Sarah B. King, Jesse Yelverton, David Pierce, Mark Houghton, Nehemia Abel, Jim McGlone, Emily Frank, Sarah Neubert, Robby Dickinson, Norah Pence In attending, you, too, will be drawn in as witnesses through congregational singing. Monica MacIndoe will accompany us. Plan now to include this service as a part of your Easter celebration, remembering the cost and gift that makes our resurrection joy and resurrection faith possible.

THANKYOU!Cake night on March 18th at Wednesday night church supper was a delicious success! Carrot, coconut, chocolate fudge, strawberry, fruit cocktail, Texas dark chocolate, and pineapple upside down cakes were just some of the delectable desserts we had to choose from – and it wasn’t easy to choose! A BIG THANK YOU to all who shared their baking skills! Stay tuned for the April dessert night.

SpringSupperClubs

The first of our Spring Supper Clubs are planned and will take place this Saturday evening. We anticipate wonderful exchanges of food, fellowship and getting to know one another, as well as perhaps a recipe or two! If you haven’t signed up for this month, it is not too late for the remaining Supper Club events this year! You may either sign up in Sunday School or by calling or emailing Tammy@FredericksburgBaptistChurch.org The dates for the remaining gatherings are: April 25, May 16, and June 6! We would love to have as many adults as possible to join in these great opportunities to get to know others beyond your Sunday School Class and they are lots of FUN!

6:30amThe Lenten Noonday services have been so well-attended this year and these services have been beautiful experiences of worshiping with our brothers and sisters from other Micah churches! We have one more opportunity to worship together this spring at Sunrise Service at the Presbyterian Church on Easter Sunday. The Presbyterian Church address is 810 Princess Anne St, and weather permitting, the service will be held in the churchyard at the foot of the sanctuary steps. Plan to attend!

This quote is from Martin Buber. A Jewish philosopher, Buber spent his life immersed in the study of dialogue between people (“I-It” and “I-Thou”) as well as between people and God (“I-eternal Thou). For Buber, what happens between person to person and person to God is the most meaningful interaction of human life, worthy of our attention and intention.

Wednesday, April 8 is in the middle of Spring Break week for most of our families with children. We know many folks travel and many folks spend time doing things that don’t usually get done during the school year. So please enjoy that Wednesday evening doing something special with your family! Vaca�on Bible School

July 6th -9th 2015 Ages 4 years-5th grade

OpportunitiesatThePotter’sHouse–AMinistry

forPreschoolersandChildren As you may know big changes have been happening as we grow to meet the needs of our community. But, do you know what those changes are? First, we will be offering a full-day Summer Camp for Toddlers through 5th GRADE! Beginning June 15th there will be 2-week sessions offered all summer long. You can pick and choose which sessions would be best suited for your family’s needs and schedule. Kids will enjoy games, sports, field trips, projects, arts and crafts, cooking projects and more. Kids can also look forward to special visitors like a wild life expert, soccer coach, dance instructor, and karate instructor. Second, we now offer full-day Preschool to children 6 weeks-4 years old. We will also be continuing the part-time Preschool for ages 2-4. We are pleased to offer both full-time and part-time preschool where students will enjoy the benefits of curriculum and structure as well as time to play with peers. SpringBreakTriptotheZoo*

April10th,9:00am-3pm Families, Join us for a trip to the Richmond Zoo! We will meet in the church parking lot at 9:00am and prepare to leave by 9:30am. We will need a minimum of 10 to make the trip so please RSVP by March 28th. *Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Due to car seat safety, these students will also need to be transported in a private vehicle, not on the church bus. Cost- $10 per child, $15 per adult

MissionMadness

April17-19,2015 This is an event sponsored by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia. This year you can expect another amazing Mission Madness. We will be traveling to Charlottesville, VA. The cost of Mission Madness is $90 per person which includes hotel room, four meals, mission project supplies, recreation, program costs, and a t-shirt. The cost is low because of the helpfulness and hospitality of the host church and because CBF Virginia generously sponsors the event. We are planning to leave the church parking lot Friday, April 17th at 7 pm. Please be in the parking lot by 6:45pm. We will return by the end of the 11 o’clock service Sunday, April 19th. Sign-up today!!!
